WWE SmackDown Ratings, Viewership (10/10/17): Numbers Inching Back Up
The WWE SmackDown ratings data and viewership information are in for this week’s show, and the blue brand saw their numbers get a nice boost after Hell In A Cell. Last night’s show, which featured all of the fallout from Hell In A Cell, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn renew their friendship, new #1 Contenders for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles crowned, and a main event between AJ Styles and Baron Corbin for the US Title, drew 2.467 million viewers. This is up from last week’s 2.323 million viewers.
With all of the mainstream press that Shane McMahon’s near death moment of crashing and burning after jumping from the top of the Cell garnered, it’s not surprising that the blue brand saw an increase in the audience this week. That story was splashed everywhere from wrestling sites to People Magazine on Monday.
SmackDown Live was #4 in viewership for this week on cable, falling behind Hannity, Tucker Carlson, and Rachel Maddow. SmackDown Live was #2 in the 18-49 demographic, falling behind American Horror Story. In the 18-49 demographic, the blue brand garnered a .80 cable rating for Tuesday night’s episode. This is up from last week’s .74 cable rating in the same demographic.
