WWE Legend Returning To The Company Under New Deal
He’ll be sticking around. There are all kinds of wrestlers on the WWE roster and some of them have some rather distinct purposes. While most people signed are active wrestlers, there are others who are there more as a way to help promote the company. These are names you might remember from years past, and now you might be hearing from another one more often.
Hurricane Helms, also known as the Hurricane, has announced that he has signed a Legends Deal with WWE, tweeting that it officially makes him old. Helms has worked for WWE on and off over the years, both as a wrestler and as an agent. He last wrestled for WWE in the 2021 Royal Rumble and has otherwise retired from in-ring competition. Helms does still make occasional cameo appearances on WWE television.
I signed a WWE Legends deal so I guess that makes it official…
I’m old. ???

Opinion: It’s cool to see something like this happen as Helms is one of those beloved stars from years past. Helms doesn’t have to do much more than put on his green gear, strike a pose and say his catchphrase and the people are going to react, which is why you have him for something like this. It’s ok to present someone who is a nice nostalgia star and that is what WWE is setting up here.
