Cena issued the challenge during his return promo in the ring at the top of the show on tonight’s SmackDown Live episode and AJ later accepted the challenge after retaining his title in a gruesome yet spectacular 3-way-battle over ‘The Lone Wolf’ Baron Corbin and ‘The Show off’ Dolph Ziggler.
A.J. Styles made his shocking debut by entering at #3 in the 30-man Traditional Royal Rumble Match in January of 2016. He is, as of this moment, the most popular WWE Superstar today, without a shadow of a doubt. Today he stands in one years time, as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion against the biggest WWE Superstar of the past decade, that says a lot about the charisma, drawing power and skills of The Phenomenal One.
