WWE Announces Bayley Suffered Injury On RAW
During Bayley’s match against Nia Jax during the July 31st broadcast of Monday Night RAW, viewers wondered if Bayley might’ve suffered a shoulder injury. In a spot during the match, she was dropped awkwardly on her shoulder and was seen holding it during the match, but it was unknown if it’s part of the storyline or legitimate.
On Tuesday night, WWE.com announced she suffered an injury to her right shoulder and will go through further evaluation. Bayley has been told to rest for the rest of the week to determine if swelling would ease.
In a video posted on WWE.com, Bayley said:
“Everything just tensed up around it. I’ve never had an injury like this before, so I can’t really know what it is. I guess we’re gonna see.”
WWE’s Dr. Chris Amann also said:
“We’ve determined the injury is shoulder-related, and she will be going under further diagnostic testing later this week to determine the extent of the injury and also establish a timetable for recovery.”
Once again, it’s unclear if the injury is legitimate or part of the storyline ahead of SummerSlam. Bayley is the No. 1 contender for Alexa Bliss’s RAW Women’s Championship, and at the moment it appears she remains on the pay-per-view card.
