WRESTLING RUMORS: Second Generation Star Signs With WWE

The next generation. There are all kinds of wrestlers in the world and they come from a variety of backgrounds. Some of them come from other sports and others come in with quite the wrestling background. At the same time, there are a few who come from wrestling families, or at least have relatives in the industry. Now another is on his way to the big time.

According to Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net, Colby Corino, the son of NXT trainer Steve Corino, has signed to WWE. Colby will reportedly be reporting to NXT “very soon”, possibly as soon as the beginning of March. This comes after Colby ended his deal with the NWA on January 1, making him a free agent. Colby was signed on his own and not as part of a recruitment class, as most new stars are brought in.

Opinion: What we have here is another second generation star, who are often some of the most successful in wrestling. Colby has shown a lot of potential outside of the mainstream wrestling world and it should be interesting to see what he can do in a bigger world. Throw in his father working as one of his coaches and Colby has all kinds of potential to become a star.
