Update On WWE’s WrestleMania Weekend Plans, Possible New Scheduling

Get your calendars ready. We are less htna three months away from WrestleMania 38 and the preparations for the show have already begun. There are a lot of moves that still need to be made to make it the biggest wrestling weekend of the year, but some of those changes have nothing to do with WrestleMania itself. WWE offers quite a few other things over the weekend and now we know some more about two of the bigger ones.

Earlier this week, it was announced that WWE would be presenting both NXT Stand & Deliver and the annual Hall of Fame induction ceremony over WrestleMania weekend. According to PWInsider.com, there have been discussions to hold NXT Stand & Deliver on Saturday April 2 as a matinee show before the first night of WrestleMania 38. There is no word on where the event will be held.

In addition, also according to PWInsider.com, the potential plan for the Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be aired after the April 1 SmackDown on Peacock and the WWE Network, though there is no word on when and where the ceremony will actually be held. There is a chance that it could be taking place live after SmackDown, which would put the event on at 10PM EST. No inductees have been announced as of yet.

Opinion: Above all else, it is nice to see that these events are taking place. After two years of not seeing a traditional WrestleMania weekend, it is great to have what feels like a normal schedule all over again. I’m not sure how everything is going to work out, but there is still time to announce the plans before we get to April. Hopefully it all works out, as WrestleMania weekend is one of the most entertaining times of the wrestling year.
