Undertaker At SummerSlam?; Becky Lynch On “Static” Women’s Revolution
Becky Lynch Says WWE’s Women’s Revolution Is Static
In a recent interview, Becky Lynch gave her opinion on the current state of the Women’s Revolution in WWE. In her mind, the movement is in a sort of holding pattern.
“To be perfectly honest, right now it’s in a bit of a bit of a static period, which is perfectly fine. We’ve come off stuff like two women’s ladder matches, and Hell In A Cells, and we just need the story lines to constantly evolve. And of course me saying that might just be because I’m not really involved in one, but as great as all these matches are with the gimmicks and the tables and the cages and the ladders, they’re all wonderful, but what we really need is a reason people are emotionally invested.
“Of course sometimes we’re going to be highlighted a lot, and sometimes there’s just programming — we need to see more of the tag teams, we need to see more of A.J. Styles, or Kevin Owens — and it all goes through waves,” Lynch said. “Right now I feel like we’re a little bit there, and maybe people feel like that too.”
Undertaker Set For SummerSlam?
Rumors are swirling that The Undertaker, who was last seen leaving his iconic black hat and leather coat in the ring after losing to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, could be appearing at tonight’s SummerSlam. Dave Meltzer has speculated that The Dead Man could interfere in the Universal Title Fatal Four Way match tonight, costing Reigns the bout, and setting up a match between the two at Survivor Series.
I find that a bit hard to swallow. Taker is coming off major hip surgery. It’s doubtful he’s in proper shape to start an angle and prepare for a big match. But, of course, this is Undertaker. Anything is possible.
