They Don’t Approve: Backstage Reaction And More On Rumored WWE Sale
There’s more to it. We are in the middle of a huge time of change in WWE and there are likely a lot more changes coming in the near future. This includes changes all the way at the top of the company, as WWE has been teasing a sale in recent weeks. That seemed to be the case earlier this week, but it seems to have been a false alarm. Now we know a bit more about the backstage reaction to what is going on.

Earlier this week, a rumor surfaced saying that WWE had been sold to Saudi Arabia, though the story seems to not be true. Fightful Select has more on the fallout from the rumor, including WWE sources saying no sale to Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) has been made “as of yet”.
As for the roster, several have said they would walk out if the PIF purchased the company. There are also wrestlers who are worried about Vince McMahon returning to WWE Creative, with some believing there would be “significant pushback” against such a change. There is nothing to suggest a sale is set to go, but the wrestlers are regularly talking about it.
That could have been huge. Check out some other near falls in WWE:

Opinion: This continues to be the biggest WWE story in a very long time and there is nothing to suggest that it is going to end anytime soon. The amount of changes that have already taken place is astounding and we could be in for the biggest change of all. I can’t blame the wrestlers for being more than a bit nervous about the whole situation, and now all we can do is wait and see where things go.
