They Could See Him: Backstage WWE Reaction To John Cena’s Monday Night Raw Appearance

They liked it. There are certain stars who are able to draw in interest to any wrestling program they are on and it can do quite a bit of good for any promotion. Those stars are few and far between but when they are around, they can be quite valuable. WWE had one of them on their main television show this week and his appearance seems to have been a hit.

John Cena made an advertised appearance this week on Monday Night Raw where he was confronted by United States Champion Austin Theory. The two argued in the ring and a title match was set up for WrestleMania 39. According to Fightful Select, WWE was said to be happy with Cena’s appearance, saying that he added “familiar eyes” to this week’s show. There is no word on when Cena will be appearing on the show next.

Opinion: It makes sense that WWE would want Cena to be around, as fans are going to check out what he is doing because he is one of the biggest stars the company has ever had. Cena may have gone a bit too far with what he said to Theory, but it should be interesting to see where the story goes from here. Either way, the match is set and now we are in for a showdown at WrestleMania.
