The Taz Show Recap – Hell In A Cell Analysis, Zayn’s Surprising Heel Turn, Have We Seen Shane’s Last Big Bump? More!

Block 1:

Taz opens today’s show speaking about last night’s Hell In A Cell PPV.

Taz says he really loved last night’s PPV, and he gives it a 9/10 rating. The final match of the night between Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon was fantastic, and WWE swerved everyone with Sami Zayn’s heel turn at the end of the show. Taz never saw that coming at all, and he thinks it’s a credit to WWE when they can surprise their audience in this day and age with all the online spoilers.

He points out that this is a big opportunity for Sami Zayn, and he now has the spotlight firmly placed on him on Smackdown Live. Taz thinks Zayn deserves this spot, and he praises Zayn for the timing of his run-in last night. He says it’s no easy task to pull someone from an announce table when someone is plummeting towards you from the sky, 20 feet above.

He continues to speak about the main event match, saying that he loved Kevin Owens standing over the edge of the cage, searching for the courage to jump. Taz admits that WWE would have to pay him a lot of money to jump from that cage. In addition, by booking Owens to appear nervous while looking down from the cage, WWE gives even more legitimacy to Shane McMahon’s bravery.

Taz says that there was really no series of events in which McMahon would emerge victorious here. Kevin Owens is the future right now and Shane McMahon is a 47-year old who wrestles part-time. This was a must-win for Owens, and WWE did the right thing by putting him over while also protecting McMahon by having Zayn interfere.
