The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that current plans do not have current WWE Champion ”The Phenomenal” AJ Styles and current WWE Universal Champion ”Mr Wrestling” Kevin Owens going into WrestleMania 33 as champions.

Styles is set to defend the WWE Championship against ”The Face that Runs The Place” John Cena this Sunday in San Antonio while Owens is booked to defend against ”The Big Dog” Roman Reigns.

It was announced by SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon on WWE Smackdown Live, that the WWE Championship will be defended at February’s SD Live’s exclusive Elimination Chamber PPV, inside the Chamber while the RAW brand has the FastLane PPV in February.

The Observer adds that the WrestleMania 33 match card shapes up at this moment like:

– ”The Icon” Goldberg vs. ”The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar,

– ”The Game” Triple H vs. ”The Man” Seth Rollins,

– ”Mr Wrestling” Kevin Owens vs. ”Y2J” Chris Jericho,

– Shaquille O’Neal vs. Big Show,

– ”The Phenom” The Undertaker vs. ”The Big Dog” Roman Reigns,

– ”The Eater of Worlds” Bray Wyatt vs. ”The Apex Predator” Randy Orton and

– RAW Women’s Champion ”The Queen” Charlotte Flair vs. Nia Jax vs. ”The Fan” Bayley vs. ”The Boss” Sasha Banks.

There are rumors on Orton winning the Traditional 30-Man Royal Rumble match this Sunday and Bray winning the Chamber match, setting up their bout for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, FL. The Observer notes that if that does not happen, it’s because plans changed.

WWE NXT Superstar ”The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe is expected to be called up soon with a big push and Joe versus Cena at WrestleMania 33 has been pitched. There have also been rumors of AJ Styles facing Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 33.

On the live version of Raw, Roman Reigns’ loss caused one particular fan to celebrate Chris Jericho’s first United States Championship victory. After some well-placed edits, however, WWE’s opening package the following week showed the same fan reacting in a disappointed manner. The ensuing backlash among WWE’s most dedicated contingent has become a pattern of some fans crying foul when it comes to the booking of Roman Reigns.

Well there are many such examples that shows WWE trying to promote someone who is not a legit fan favorite all the time or most of the times.
The question here is that why can’t the company speak out the truth and show us the reality what it is (not only in Live but recorded episodes also).

According to Belt Fan Dan , a reputable source for wrestling championship belt information, WWE is actively designing new Intercontinental and United States Championships.

Nothing besides the design was said, but it can be said that the design of the belts will be better than what it currently is and will not be anything close to traditional styles of belts in WWE. After the backlash WWE officials have to face after the Universal Championship was introduced they will be more conscious about the design of the belts.

The current design of the Intercontinental Championship dates back to 1988 (with a similar one in 1986), before being retired in 1998, and reintroduced by Cody Rhodes in 2011. The WWE version of the United States Championship was introduced in 2003

Also, ‘The Beast Incarnate’ Brock Lesnar is scheduled to appear for the same show as well. Surprisingly, Lesnar’s appearance was not mentioned on television. However, on WWE.com, Lesnar is advertised for the event.

Last RAW before the Royal Rumble PPV?! Possibly, a big explosive show down is about to take place next week in Cleveland. The non-advertised appearance of ‘The Beast Incarnate’ will only spice things up a notch!

Any physical interaction between the two box-office attractions before the big event at the Alamodome in San Antonio would be welcomed by the fans worldwide.

The premise of Brock Lesnar’s participation in the Rumble Match this year is retribution against Goldberg, who defeated him in just 86 seconds at the Survivor Series PPV. He appeared in the latest edition of Monday Night RAW, where he cleared the ring filled with competitors such as Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, Sami Zayn and Braun Strowman.

Goldberg has been more open to working a Lesnar-like schedule, so Wrestlemania 33 itself may not be his last appearance.

Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar is said to be one of the matches locked for Wrestlemania 33, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. So, his appearance will definitely be to further their storyline.

Goldberg has many potential feuds on his plate. Nonetheless, his appearance at the Rumble will definitely be to further set the tone of his WrestleMania bout against Brock Lesnar.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, John Cena vs. Undertaker match that was planned for WrestleMania 33 has been scrapped due to Vince McMahon changing his mind about the idea.

It was said Vince changed his mind about what was originally one of the marquee matches for WrestleMania, but the plans for the event will become more clear after the Royal Rumble PPV. There has been plenty of rumors about Undertaker challenging for a World Championship at Mania, but there are no plans for him regarding this.

When The Phenom returned on WWE Smackdown Live at #SDLive900, the plan was to build to a match around Cena, but with him now appearing on RAW this past week in New Orleans, he’ll likely face someone on that roster. The tease of Braun Strowman being the opponent was seen on TV, but Strowman is not the opponent in mind at this time.

Currently,
– Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg,
– Triple H vs Seth Rollins and
– Big Show vs Shaquille O’Neal are the key matches, with

– Chris Jericho vs Kevin Owens, and
– Charlotte defending the RAW Women’s Championship at Wrestlemania 33 is the current plan, but the expected singles match against Bayley is not the match penciled in at the moment. The match proposed would see Charlotte defend in a Fatal-4-Way against Bayley, Nia Jax and Sasha Banks.
