The latest round of WWE TLC betting odds are out, and they reveal some clues after the huge changes to the card over the last 24 hours. The odds are below, courtesy of Bet Wrestling.

As a reminder, a negative number signifies the betting favorite in the match. I would say that most of the odds above are pretty by the book, with nobody you would expect to lose favored to win a match. This is pretty by the book, and we’d expect Balor to prevail over Styles given this is a RAW show and he is a RAW superstar.

WWE announced earlier today that that Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns have been pulled from the WWE TLC event this Sunday in Minneapolis. Kurt Angle will be replacing Roman Reigns and AJ Styles will be replacing Bray Wyatt.

Kurt Angle took to his Instagram account to react replacing Roman Reigns at Sunday’s event. He wrote, “Is it true??? Oh It’s damn true! Your Olympic Hero will be wrestling along side of The Shield at #TLC this Sunday. Be sure to watch. #yourolympicheroisback”

Well, Sunday’s WWE TLC has been all shaken up by the health scare and illness that seems to be spreading through the RAW roster. It was announced this afternoon that RAW General Manager Kurt Angle will replace Roman Reigns in the main event of Sunday’s show, and AJ Styles will be taking Bray Wyatt’s place.

Breaking News: Kurt Angle will return to action and replace Roman Reigns at WWE TLC; AJ Styles to battle “The Demon” Finn Bálor

Due to medical issues impacting two WWE Superstars scheduled to appear at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs, streaming live on WWE Network this Sunday, the special event will now feature Kurt Angle competing in a WWE ring for the first time in more than 11 years, as he replaces Roman Reigns. In addition, former WWE Champion AJ Styles will replace Bray Wyatt and face “The Demon” Finn Bálor.

A WWE Hall of Famer and the current General Manager of Raw, Angle will join forces with Raw Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose to battle the daunting combination of Braun Strowman, Intercontinental Champion The Miz, Cesaro, Sheamus and The Big Red Machine Kane in a Tables, Ladders & Chairs 5-on-3 Handicap Match.

The showdown between “The Demon” and Styles is one that the WWE Universe has been wanting for a long time and promises to be one of the most exciting matches of 2017.

As far as what’s actually going on, we’ve reported that Bo Dallas and Bray Wyatt are off the road due to viral meningitis, and now, apparently, WWE is testing the RAW roster for mumps. Yes, mumps. If the RAW roster is being tested, once someone has been tested, they cannot compete until the results come back. No word on whether or not the SmackDown Live roster will be tested, too.

WWE made the following statement about the changes, health scare, and talent testing:

“We have confirmed that three of our performers have been diagnosed with a viral infection. As a precautionary measure, we are ensuring in-ring performers and staff are tested and immunized in accordance with recommended medical guidelines.”

We reported earlier that Kevin Owens was pulled from the SmackDown South America tour, and AJ Styles missed last night’s show due to a stomach bug. As of right now, that’s all the information we have on them. Whether or not their absences are related to this RAW illness scare is unknown. It’s also unknown if them being pulled is TLC-related.

WWE TLC is only a few days away, and some things for Sunday’s show are still up in the air. As we reported earlier this week, Bo Dallas has been suffering from viral meningitis, hence his not being on television for the past couple of weeks. Bray Wyatt and JoJo Offerman are also being kept off the road as a safety precaution. Depending on who you trust in the wrestling news reporting business, they’re either not sick or they are both sick, and other members of the roster may be ill as well.

Either way, the health scare for the RAW crew and roster has been very real, and it could end up changing Sunday’s show. We’ll have more on things if and when more information becomes available.

As far as betting odds go, there are already heavy favorites three days out. The Shield are heavily favored to win their match, and the debuting Asuka is a heavy favorite, as well.

Just a reminder, the minus indicates the favorite and the plus is for the underdog. The number after the plus or minus tells us how favored or unfavored the competitors are.

Nia Jax Update

As we reported yesterday, Nia Jax has been granted a leave of absence from WWE to deal with some personal issues. Despite rumors, it’s being reported that she has not quit the company. But, as of now, she will not be shooting any new footage for Total Divas; the cast and crew are in New York this week to film footage for the upcoming season.

Another report is stating that Nia’s leave of absence has to do with her being frustrated with her creative direction and pay. She has leeway that others don’t (being The Rock’s cousin and all), so it’s probable that WWE will work something out for her so that she can return in the near future.

Jax is off the road and off of all WWE television for the foreseeable future. We will keep you updated if more information on this situation comes to light.

This week’s episode of SmackDown Live ranked #3 among series & specials for the night in Nielsen’s social media TV ratings, falling behind the Gucci Mane – Keyshia Ka’Oir BET special and This Is Us. SmackDown Live had 110,000 interactions on Twitter with 26,000 unique authors, down from last week’s 112,000 interactions and 24,000 authors. SmackDown Live also had 72,000 Facebook interactions with 49,000 unique authors last night, up from last week’s 69,000 interactions and 46,000 authors.

New Roddy Piper Documentary Available

It was announced today that there is a new Roddy Piper documentary available. Titled “Roddy Piper: In His Own Words,” a percentage of all sales will go to the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, which had a special place in Piper’s heart. The documentary is available through NineLegendsFilm for $7.99.

Director Davis Sinnott had the following to say about the project.

“This project meant a lot to me to put together. I have fond memories of working with Piper on another project and it didn’t sit well with me that so much great footage was locked away in a vault. I recall his daughter was present for the entirety of our film shoot and it was clearly evident that he was a decent family man. It was important for me to connect with Roddy’s wife, Kitty Toombs, for input on this project.”

Conor McGregor Negotiating With WWE For WrestleMania Appearance?

According to a recent report, Conor McGregor and WWE are in negotiations for the UFC star to have a one-off appearance at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans next year. According to a source close to the situation:

“Conor is a huge wrestling fan. His entire persona on stage he has developed from watching performers like Ric Flair and The Rock. These are the top dogs at self-promotion and trash talk. He watched these guys when he was younger. This is something he’s always wanted to do. The WWE guys have asked him to do shows before with them but the timing was never really right. But this time it looks like a deal is going to be locked into place.”

As we’ve reported in the past, Triple H has always been open to McGregor working with WWE, and I guess time will tell if the two sides can come to a deal this time around.

Braun Strowman Bumps Finn Balor From Roman Reigns Storyline

As everyone saw Monday night on RAW, Roman Reigns made a SummerSlam challenge to the winner of Brock Lesnar vs. Samoa Joe match at Great Balls of Fire. That brought out Samoa Joe, which lead to a Reigns vs. Joe match later on RAW (interrupted by a returning Braun Strowman).

Interestingly, the spot of interrupting the Reigns/Joe storyline was originally set for Finn Balor. One would assume Balor would have gone on to face Reigns at Great Balls of Fire. But according to a report from Sportskeeda, once Strowman was medically cleared, Balor was bumped out of the picture. After watching RAW on Monday, it’s pretty clear that the company does not have a long term direction for Balor at this time (he defeated Bo Dallas on the show).

Major Updates on WWE Battleground and TLC

The next scheduled SmackDown Live pay per view is Battleground, which takes place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. It seems we can now expect John Cena to be apart of that show in some fashion.

With our earlier report that Cena is scheduled to work the Live Event the day after SummerSlam, perhaps “Big Match John” will be around more than expected this summer. Again, his official return is set for the 4th of July.

Looking further ahead, WWE’s 2017 pay per view schedule added another date today. Tables, Ladders and Chairs will take place on October 22nd in Minneapolis. It will be a RAW-brand offering. Last year, it was a SmackDown show in December.

This announcement has some interesting repercussions. First, RAW now has pay per views scheduled for both September (No Mercy) and October. You would then expect the same from SmackDown. One of those should be Hell in a Cell. We were told last year that the gimmick pay per views (such as TLC, Hell in a Cell and Money In The Bank) would rotate brands every year.
