WWE Main Event Spoilers

Before Monday Night RAW went live from Music City, or simply Nashville, two matches were taped for this week’s WWE Main Event.

R-Truth defeated Curt Hawkins.

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson defeated Rhyno and Heath Slater.

WWE Main Event airs on Hulu Plus.

Why Anderson and Gallows are being waste on Main Event, I have no clue. Throw Enzo and Cass and Big Show over there. That makes more sense than having a much-needed tag team off the flagship show.

New Book, New Aries Look

While RAW was dragging on tonight, former WWE superstar Austin Aries tweeted about his new book, “Food Fight,” and World Emoji Day, but the bigger news was the picture he included in the tweet.

The responses to Aries’ tweet drew comparison to singer/rapper Pitbull, and he, too, noticed the feedback.

Boy is obviously going through some sort of vegan crisis or something.

Aries was released from his WWE contract on July 7. As Top Rope Press reported, in a statement a week after his release, Aries thanked the WWE for the opportunity with the company and commended the fans and people in front and behind the camera. Aries added he has “exciting announcements” coming soon.

Aleister Black Is Great

In case you hadn’t heard, Aleister Black worked WWE Main Event this week, taking on Curt Hawkins. As you might have guessed, he looked really impressive in front of the UK audience. I saw Dave Meltzer compare his push in NXT to early Magnum T.A. in Jim Crockett Promotions and there’s definitely something to that.

Anyway, the Black vs. Hawkins match has already been uploaded online for our enjoyment. If you’re someone who likes watching Main Event without being spoiled, then perhaps it’s time to avert your eyes. But if not, check this out:

Owens and Itami Having Fun

Obviously, that was all done in good fun. However, NXT star Hideo Itami certainly appeared to be throwing some legit “shade” CM Punk’s way with this tweet:

Itami is obviously referencing the fact that he used the finisher years before Punk did. Now to be fair to Punk, WWE wasn’t about to let him use his the finisher he first used on the indies, The Pepsi Plunge, which was a top rope pedigree.

Itami will challenge NXT Champion Bobby Roode next Saturday in Chicago at TakeOver.
