(Wrestling Observer). The tournament was supposed to be something similar to The Cruiserweight Classic Tournament. 32 of the world’s top independent female wrestlers, with the assumption that, like the CWC, several would be signed to fill in the ranks of NXT and ultimately restock the Raw and Smackdown women’s divisions as well.

The UK tournament will broadcast live next weekend on the WWE Network, January 14th and 15th. US fans who want to catch the show as it happens should expect some weird hours.
WWE has been interested in signing many fresh talents from across the globe and will make this tournament as great as CWC. The early rumors even brought some unlikely interest from a former Knockouts Champion.

There is also a need for more women to be brought in the NXT roster as the current champion Asuka seems to have no one to match her caliber, not even Ember Moon who has been referred to as the next big thing.
