While discussing the RAW 25th Anniversary show on the latest installment of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez revealed that this Monday’s event is supposed to be bigger than the RAW after WrestleMania.

“I’ve been told that at least in terms of production and individuals being brought in and ideas and pitches RAW 25 will be bigger than the traditional night after WrestleMania RAW,” Alvarez explained.

“Will you like it better? I don’t know, that’s up to you. But the way they’re putting it together it is a bigger event and higher priority than the post-Mania RAW.”

It was rumored this past weekend that EC3 could be headed to WWE now that he’s no longer obligated to Impact Wrestling. Dave Meltzer confirmed these rumors in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter and he is in fact headed to WWE.

In an update, EC3 was actually spotted at the WWE Performance Center on Tuesday. This is a strong indication that he will be arriving in the company very soon. It remains to be seen if he will head to NXT or make a debut on the main roster. We will keep you updated if we receive more details on his WWE return.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Bret Hart is hoping for WWE to induct The Hart Foundation into the Hall of Fame. Bret would like it to happen for Jim Neidhart because Neidhart is currently battling significant health issues and if it doesn’t come soon, he may not be able to enjoy it when it does.

The Hart Foundation is not one of the names rumored for this year’s Hall of Fame class, so it likely won’t happen this year.

In regards to the EC3 name, he owns the rights to it and Impact has made it clear that they will allow talents to use their gimmicks in other promotions.  As of this writing, there is no indication if WWE is interested in using the gimmick when they do decide to bring him in. Meltzer didn’t elaborate when he could debut for WWE but many are speculating it could be sometime around The Royal Rumble as he recently canceled an indie booking on the exact same date as The Rumble.

It was noted a few months back that Rey Mysterio was in talks with WWE about a potential return to the company. During today’s mailbag segment of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer was asked if there was an update between Mysterio and WWE.

Meltzer explained that there are no plans for Mysterio to return to WWE at this time and negotiations are pretty much non-existent. Mysterio has plans for the next several months that do not involve WWE. Meltzer said that if WWE was to offer Mysterio a $3 million dollar per year deal, Mysterio would come back but it’s very unlikely WWE would offer him that dollar amount.

It was reported a few weeks back that Matt Sydal has officially signed a contract with Impact Wrestling after working for the company since April.

Ever wondered what Ric Flair’s asking price is to make appearances at non-WWE wrestling events?

According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Flair is currently asking $15,000 for two hours of autograph signings. Anything over three hours is $20,000.

“Ric Flair is now taking limited bookings. Currently his asking price is $15,000 for two hours of signing or $20,000 for three hours,” Meltzer wrote in this week’s Observer Newsletter.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest installment of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that AJ Styles’ current deal with WWE is slated to expire early 2019.

It’s worth noting that Styles hinted in a recent interview that he may be retiring in a “couple of years.” Meltzer suggests that it’s very rare that WWE Superstars in a prime spot in the company just walk away, especially when the money is good. It’s very possible that WWE could offer him a lighter work schedule if that is something Styles is interested in when that time comes around.
