Former Impact Wrestling talent James Michael Curtin (Rockstar Spud) just arrived at the SmackDown Live tapings in Newark, NJ. Here is a photo of his arrival:

As previously noted, Spud is expected to be part of the 205 Live brand and may be debuting on tonight’s show. It’s also worth noting that he was backstage for last night’s RAW event as well.

Ryback informs that he wrestled former WWE Superstar, Joey Mercury at last weekend’s WrestleCade event. The show was a great success but he thought it ran too long, approaching the 5-hour mark in length. He mentions that WWE live events last anywhere from 2:30-2:45, and they’ve found that to be the best length in terms of satisfying fans but also keeping their attention.

Anything under 2 and a half hours and people feel like they don’t get their money’s worth, but 3 hours or more of wrestling in a row is simply too long. He says that working with Mercury was great and he was very happy with how the match turned out. He believes it’s only a matter of time before Mercury returns to WWE again.

In regards to the rumours that WWE is planning to have an all-female Royal Rumble match at next month’s PPV, Ryback says, “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it”. He doesn’t think WWE has the female roster to properly execute this match right now, and he thinks WWE would be rushing this idea if they plan it for next month’s show. He doesn’t think it’s a terrible idea, but he’s not sure how they’d execute it so that both Rumble matches are unique, and he just doesn’t think the timing is right at the moment.

Former WWE Diva Kelly Kelly took to her Twitter account to reveal that she had over $50,000 worth of items stolen from her public storage facility. Here is what she wrote:

“Attention guys my stuff got stolen inside of my storage unit @PublicStorage in el segundo, ca they stole purses and jewelry. Beware of that @PublicStorage apparently it happens all the time they have no cameras nothing so no way to find out who did it so please RT. And hopefully they will do something to compensate me for at least 50,000 worth of things stolen.”

While Adam Cole may possibly be joining WWE, he is currently a free agent and hasn’t signed a deal yet with the company. The feeling is that he will eventually end up in NXT as one of the top stars for the brand unless something changes.

It’s also worth noting that Impact Wrestling is also interested in trying to sign Cole. We will keep you updated on his status when we find more information out.
