An individual by the name of Sam Cook claimed in a YouTube video that Enzo Amore is innocent of the rape accusations. Cook explained that he and Enzo’s accuser Philomena Sheahan were associated for a year and half and she gave him a first-hand account of the events that transpired.

Cook explains in the video what Sheahan told him after the night of the alleged incident and revealed that the sex with Enzo was amazing.

“What she had told me at that point was that she had sex with Enzo and it was amazing and Toopoor was so nice.”

Cook explained the timeline of events as he knew them and then showed text messages that were allegedly between Sheahan and a woman named Rachel.

In the messages, Sheahan told Rachel, “I MET TOO POOR & Did coke with her Tyler & f*** their friend.” Cook noted that the word “f***” was later corrected to “f***ed” and there was no mention of a rape. Cook showed another message that was allegedly from Sheahan that stated, “Believe it or not bitch it happened & I’m laying in bed next to a famous wrestler.”

The whole point of Clash of Champions is that every champion must defend their title. The chances of a title changing hands are quite high. Multi-man matches such as the triple threat for the US Championship and the fatal four-way tag team match almost guarantee a change in champions.

I believe that we’re going to see new champions come Sunday. Who do I believe will be a champion after Clash of Champions?

United States Champion: Baron Corbin

The whole point of booking a Triple Threat is so that the champion can lose their title without being pinned. However, I think that this Sunday, Corbin retains, but not by pinning Bobby Roode. I’m not a betting man, but I’d bet a considerable sum on Dolph Ziggler eating the pin.

It’s far too early to take the title off Baron Corbin. He’s found his groove as a character and as a champion. To take it away from him now would a a tad odd, to say the least. Besides, a babyface chasing the title is a much more compelling tale. A chase would provide Bobby Roode with some character other than “glorious is my word of the day.”

The strange addition of Ziggler to the match pretty much means he’s there to protect the loser. It’s sad, but it’s true. Corbin is pinning Ziggler, and this extends the feud to at least another month.

Smackdown Women’s Champion: Carmella

Carmella’s been holding the Money in the Bank contract for an awful long time. It’s not unlikely that she cashes in. In fact, I think it’s quite likely. The lumberjack match stipulation pretty much ensures that the Riott Squad will be involved in the match at Clash of Champions. Should Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, and Sarah Logan interrupt the match and decimate both Charlotte and Natalya, who should pick the bones but Ms. Money in the Bank herself?

This frees up Charlotte to team up with Naomi to face the growing threat that is the Riott Squad. This leaves a possible dearth of challengers for Carmella should she become champion, but it is what it is. The absence of Becky Lynch is affecting the division, but I honestly believe Carmella is walking away from Boston with the Smackdown Women’s Championship.

Lucha Underground has received funding for a four season, however the word going around is that there will be huge budget cuts from the previous seasons.

There has been serious concern regarding the promotion’s future for the past few months. At one point it was being speculated that the company wouldn’t return anytime soon as they haven’t done any filming for well over a year.

Enzo Amore’s Beetlejuice-esque outfit from No Mercy pay-per-view is up for sale at a comics’ store in Los Angeles. Amore won the cruiserweight title by defeating Neville the same night.

Amore’s outfit garnered a lot of attention for wearing such a bizarre outfit for his title match. The said outfit was lent by Amore to the co-owner of the “Meltdown Comics” store, Jamie Iovine.

Iovine later posted the video of himself and Enzo spreading the word about the outfit on Instagram. Here’s the video of the Instagram video:

As reported earlier today, Global Force Wrestling teased that they would be announcing the location this Monday for the upcoming Bound for Glory pay-per-view event.

PWInsider reports that GFW is working on finalizing the plans to hold the annual event in Canada, possibly somewhere in the Toronto area. The word going around that this was a call made by Anthem Sports as they are based in the area. If they event is in fact held there, the company will hold the post-Impact Wrestling episode tapings there as well.

Rumours have been circulating this week that Brock Lesnar will return to UFC. There is also an accompanying rumour that Lesnar will not resign his contract after Wrestlemania 34. Even if these are simply rumours WWE and Vince McMahon must be scared. Lesnar is sports entertainment’s biggest draw bar none. He is a mega star and a huge asset to the company. However, his career is winding down and there is still infinite value in Lesnar over the next year or two. His value will be used best though if he becomes a free agent and here’s why.

More Dream Matches

Samoa Joe vs Brock Lesnar was a legitimate dream match. WWE capitalised on this feud and booked it perfectly from Extreme Rules all the way to Great Balls of Fire. This feud proved Joe to be a superstar and also that Brock Lesnar dream feuds are a necessity. Dream matches with Brock Lesnar create superstars. They give wrestlers a career defining match as well fans exactly what they are desperate for.

That said, there are not that many dream feuds left for Lesnar on RAW. The only real one is Finn Balor which is as dream worthy as Samoa Joe was. Behind Balor is – at a stretch of the word dream – Bray Wyatt and even Braun Strowman. These feuds must happen in Lesnar’s time left in WWE without a doubt, particularly with Balor. On Smackdown Live however there are more. Three legitimate dream matches face Lesnar on Smackdown Live. Kevin Owens, AJ Styles and of course there is also Shinsuke Nakamura. On a smaller level there is also stars like Corbin and Zayn who would likely be excellent opponents for Lesnar.

Heyman can simply announce the Beast Incarnate will do what he wants and go where he wants. This opens the door for so many feuds and matches that WWE must capitalise on. Especially now that Lesnar is likely in the very end of his WWE career. With Lesnar fighting only a limited number of times a year, now is the time to do this. If not for the wrestlers opposite Lesnar, then for us the fans.

It appears that WWE has banned yet another word from being used on WWE programming.

Bryan Alvarez mentioned on today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Live that the company is no longer using the term “Money in the Bank Briefcase.” Moving forward announcers and talent will refer to the briefcase as the “Money in the Bank contract.”
