The fans were more than excited to see this and were almost certain that Angle would return to in-ring action at the rumble this year. BUT sad that dosen’t looks like the case as Kurt has shut down the voices of the universe and has said that he won’t be there in the ring.

‘The Royal Rumble is not going to happen, A lot of people are assuming it, a lot of writers are writing about it,’ Angle told TMZ Sport.

‘I haven’t talked to WWE about anything after the WWE Hall of Fame. I’m sure they’re going to want to do something eventually,

‘I’m not sure if it’s wrestling- related or not, but I would imagine that I would be attached to WWE most likely for the rest of my life.

‘There aren’t any clues or anything that led me to that, I just believe that this is the start our our new relationship and we’re only focusing on the Hall of Fame.’
Is this just another case of providing a swerve to the royal rumble or Kurt is really serious about this. Kurt is also scheduled to face Alberto Del Rio at WCPW next month.

If this is confirmed than Angle being in the rumble looks very much uncertain.
