The reason No Way Jose disappeared from NXT television and wasn’t at live events over the past month was because he was dealing with injuries.

The injuries were not too serious as he returned to action at Thursday’s set of television tapings at Center Stage in Atlanta. While Jose is not booked for the upcoming Takeover event in Philadelphia, it looks like he could be receiving a push because he defeated Cezar Bononi at the tapings.

Styles responded, “I don’t know that I’m the best wrestler in the world. But I like to think that I work hard when I step into a ring and I take a lot of pride in what I do, take in pride in what I do.”

He continued, “Who is the best? That’s up for discussion I think; there are a lot of great performers out there. You never know which one is going to be the next ‘top guy’, but if you’re asking me about being the best wrestler in the world? I’d say I’m not.”

Jim Cornette is already done with Impact Wrestling, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer.

It’s being said that there is no heat between Anthem and Cornette. Cornette agreed to work one set of television tapings but Jeff Jarrett had asked him to work another set and the upcoming Bound for Glory event. Cornette is unable to travel to Canada and won’t be used at the upcoming Bound for Glory show.

The creative team is now being ran by Scott D’Amore and Sonjay Dutt now that Jarrett is no longer around. They are planning on focusing more on the in-ring action and less on authority figure angles, which is what Cornette was brought in for.

Cornette has agreed to go to Nashville and tape whatever storyline they needed for his exit. Nothing right now is set in that regard.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that the advance for this upcoming episode of RAW in San Jose, CA is “very disappointing.” Lower bowl tickets for the event are still available on Ticketmaster starting at at $55 each and upper deck tickets are available starting at just $20.

This past Monday’s RAW in Anaheim, CA only drew 7000 fans. It probably doesn’t help that neither John Cena nor Brock Lesnar are scheduled this Monday’s show.

Upcoming NXT Live events in Florida postponed due to Hurricane Irma

With Hurricane Irma fast approaching and Florida under a state of emergency, four upcoming NXT Live Events have been postponed.

NXT Live Events on Friday, Sept. 8, in Daytona Beach; Saturday, Sept. 9, in Crystal River; Thursday, Sept. 14, in Lakeland; and Friday, Sept. 15, in Dade City, have been postponed. The Sept. 15 Live Event in Dade City has been rescheduled for Thursday, Oct. 5, and tickets that have been previously purchased for the show will be honored that night.

According to People, Nikki and Drew Scott of the HGTV series Property Brothers have both signed onto compete on the upcoming season of ABC’s reality dance competition series.

The next season kicks off on Monday, September 18th.

Nikki is the third wrestler to compete on the show, following Stacy Keibler and Chris Jericho.
