Bobby Roode defeated Baron Corbin and Jinder Mahal defeated Tye Dillinger to advance in the US Title tournament on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live.

WWE Has announced that Zack Ryder will face Mojo Rawley and Aiden English will face Xavier Woods in the remaining tournament matches. The winner of Ryder vs. Rawley will face Roode and the winner of English vs. Woods will face Mahal.

Rumours have surfaced online recently that the WWE are planning another Superstar Shakeup in the coming months, except this time, there will be a twist. Not only will stars be moving from Raw to Smackdown and vice versa, but wrestlers from NXT will also be able to move and main roster stars will also be given the opportunity to go the other way.

While some may say that being sent to NXT is a backwards step for anyone currently on the main roster, but if NXT has shown us anything over the last year- it’s that it can revitalise someone’s career and give them a chance to develop away from the spotlight.

Right now there are several main roster superstars who could benefit from a move to NXT, whether it be to refine their character and in-ring style, or whether it’s because they have achieved everything they can in the WWE and NXT could provide them with the chance to give newer stars a rub. Here’s a look at six superstars who could benefit from a move to NXT in the coming months.

6) Apollo Crews

Apollo Crews arrived on the WWE main roster last year and looked set for big things. Unfortunately, his character has failed to gain any momentum in the last 12 months and he has spent the last few months working as a sidekick for Titus O Neil.

While this may be the most interesting thing he has done, it is still not what people were expecting from him following his excellent performances in NXT. Sending Crews back would give the company the chance to change his character up and figure out a way to get him to reconnect with an audience that is becoming increasingly apathetic towards him.

WWE has announced that Jinder Mahal would be facing Tye Dillinger in a non-title match on tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live. In addition to that match, they have also announced Xavier Woods vs. Jey Usos and Baron Corbin vs. Nakamura.

It looks like Tye Dillinger may have found something to do other than waste away in non-televised matches on the main roster. In a situation that has escalated quite quickly, former NXT standout and current Smackdown Live superstar Tye Dillinger has initiated a Twitter beef with RAW superstar and recent Mizzie award winner, The Miz. The first shots were fired late Sunday night, when Dillinger invited the A-Lister to stop by Smackdown Live.

Miz retorted, and it was on.

Dillinger then went for the low blow, dragging Maryse into the mix.

It’s hard to say at this juncture whether this is a legit beef between the two or just a part of a setup for a future story line. With Tye Dillinger somewhat shelved creatively at the moment and The Miz possibly about to move on from his feud with Dean Ambrose, this could be the start of a fun feud between the two men. Could a move to RAW be in the cards for “The Perfect Ten” (couldn’t picture the Miz moving his Mizterage back to the blue brand) or do the two grapplers truly not care for one another?

One person who  has it all but still  is awaited to debut in the main roster in Tye Dillinger “the perfect 10”. Remember when Dustin Rhodes said that Tye Dillinger has everything and has learnt it all that is required to be a main roster superstar, due to some reasons WWE has forgotten those words.

When Dillinger entered at #10 in the royal rumble, people and whole NXT camp were on their feet and felt proud of the guy but that is not certainly marking any hints of Dillinger being on RAW/SD Live. Also not to forget the crowd was deeply disappointed when he got eliminated which could be easily made out from their boos.
Triple H tweeted out about Tye Dillinger after his in-ring performance.

The number 10 spot wasn’t gifted or given … it was earned. And it was awesome. @WWEDillinger #RoyalRumble #WeAreNXT
