Dave Meltzer indicated in the latest installment of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE could be planning a double turn for Rusev and Tye Dillinger on the SmackDown Live brand soon.

Meltzer said that the company “tested” the double turn during last week’s WWE Live Event in Raleigh and mentioned the crowd completely went with the double turn.

Meltzer wrote, “It started out like you would expect. Then they did a double turn in the match. The crowd completely went with the double turn. So this had to be a market test for both. As we’ve noted, it’s just time for Rusev to turn.”

While Rusev is currently working a program with The New Day, it is very possible that in the near future they book Dillinger & Rusev on WWE television and do the turn then.

It was being speculated for several months that Luke Harper and Erick Rowan would be revealed as the attackers of the Fashion Police and that could still be the case. The ‘2B’ that Fandango and Tyler Breeze have been struggling with over could turn out to be the Bludgeon Brothers.

Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes if they were still the planned mystery team, then it wouldn’t have made sense for WWE to debut a repackaged Harper and Rowan on SmackDown if they were still a planned surprise.

It was noted in the recent installment of Wrestling Observer Live that Enzo Amore may be the babyface Superstar ever to be suspended above the ring in a shark cage.

Bryan Alvarez discussed how it was odd for WWE to book the match that way and speculated that it might be possible for Enzo Amore to drop some sort of weapon from the cage during match but it ends up with Cass instead of The Big Show. This could possibly lead to an eventual Enzo heel turn or a flat out turn and reunification with Cass.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out at SummerSlam.
