Impact Wrestling Spoilers – November 8th, 2017
…
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Matt Sydal suffered a dislocated shoulder at the most recent set of GFW Impact Wrestling tapings.
While there are no exact details of how the injury occurred, it’s believed that it may have happened during the last mach of the tapings. That match featured Sydal teaming with Sonjay Dutt & Alberto El Patron to take on the team of Trevor Lee, Low Ki and Bobby Lashley.
Sydal worked an indie match last week in Israel but was limited in what he was able to do inside of the ring. He is currently scheduled to face Ricochet at a UK indie show tonight.
GFW’s next set of tapings will be on August 17th, which will be a Destination X themed episode of Impact Wrestling and will be on a “live” taped delay. Here are a couple of spoiler notes for the show:
Alberto El Patron will defend his title against either Bobby Lashley, Matt Sydal or both on the show.
Sonjay Dutt will face Trevor Lee in a Ladder match with the X-Division title that was stolen by Lee.
They are expected to announce the next Hall of Fame inductee to be honored at Bound for Glory.
It’s also being said that they will debut new title belts on this show.
As always, we will be providing live results. Check back here August 17th for our coverage.
Well, this was bound to happen but it looks like three more individuals are done with Impact Wrestling.
Shane Helms indicated on Twitter that he’s done with the company and moving on in life. He indicated in one of his tweets that he wasn’t going to “kiss ass” to anthem. This would suggest that there may have been differences between the two.
Helms had been working in a backstage capacity since joining the company in 2015. He also had a role on TV as the manager/mouthpiece for Trevor Lee and Andrew Everett.
In addition to Helms leaving the company, PWInsider reports that long-time producers/agents Al Snow and Pat Kenney are on their way out the door. The reason that they are leaving the company was a financial decision.
