As previously reported, Dean Ambrose is out of action with an injury and is expected to miss up to nine months of in-ring action. Since Ambrose’s injury, there have been significant amount of changes to several television storylines and it now looks like one plan the company had in mind could be nixed altogether.

WWE was originally planning a Shield reunion tour at WWE Live Events, which has already been pushed back once after Roman Reigns caught the mumps a couple months back. Ambrose’s recent injury may have now halted those plans altogether now.

The belief is once Ambrose returns from his injury in nine months, Roman Reigns will already be WWE Universal Champion, so it wouldn’t make much sense to do the tour because the idea behind The Shield’s reunion in the first place was to help get Reigns over more before they decided to put the title on him.

We reported earlier today that Luke Harper left the SmackDown tour this week but at the time of press there was no explanation as to why.

PWInsider reports that the reason Harper left the tour early after Thursday’s WWE Live Event in Lima, Peru was due to his wife going into early labor and giving birth to their son.

Harper is currently scheduled for the television tapings this week, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if he was given additional time off to spend with his family.

PWInsider reports that the word going around the locker room was that Luke Harper flew back to the US after Thursday’s WWE Live Event in Lima, Peru. It’s unknown at this time exactly why he left.

Alberto El Patron mentioned during today’s Impact Wrestling teleconference call that he’s considering leaving wrestling and hinted at possibly doing a retirement tour in 2019.

El Patron said that while he loves “real wrestling fans,” the presence of “keyboard warriors and the dark side of the business” have made him consider giving wrestling up to do something else with his life. He said that he will work through all of 2018 before the possible retirement tour the year after.

Nia Jax is expected to make her return to WWE for the upcoming European tour.

According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, Jax is resting up until the tour, which kicks off on November 1st. The company granted Jax time off because she isn’t figured into any major storylines. Those who are close to the situation say that her asking for a leave of absence because she is unhappy with the company and pay are untrue.

As previously noted, Jax was not at RAW this past week, so the story of her walking out are untrue. Lack of information when the news first came out caused the story to get blown way out of proportion.
