Nia Jax recently spoke with The Mirror about her time on the main roster and her recent absence from WWE.  Here are some highlights from the interview:

Their impact during their short time on the main roster: “Yeah we didn’t think that, we didn’t think it would come this far. Lex [Alexa] is just a shooting star right now, it’s crazy. She is on fire. We didn’t expect that in NXT at all. It’s very humbling and we’re honoured. Hopefully it continues.”

Nia Jax’s time away from WWE: “Thank you. Well actually I had live events off for the last couple of weeks because that’s just how it worked out, for cycling and stuff, so I got a little rest from TV because I wasn’t in anything storyline-wise, so I had a little rest there. But yeah, it’s been great. I love what we do, I love the storytelling, especially being such a different character and obviously a different size than everybody, we get to play on that and it’s always cool to see where we can go in the ring.”

If WWE fans will see a different side of her on Total Divas: “Yes, definitely. They will definitely see something completely different. On Raw I’m the big mean girl who goes and beats everybody up, on Total Divas they will see a softer vulnerable side of me that definitely isn’t see on Raw. And some very goofy stuff between Alexa and I. Team Rude is definitely in full effect.”

While speaking to Hollywood Life, Lana talked about the latest season of WWE Total Divas. Here are some highlights:

Thoughts on the new season: “It is going to be a really exciting season! I would say that you are going to see my in-ring journey, and you’ll actually see everything that is happening to me from not knowing when I was going to debut to my in ring journey basically not knowing when I was going to be wrestling to all of the sudden be given my first singles match. And to add to that it was title match, and all the ups and downs that came from that.”

How she would get sick before her first match on PPV: “I was feeling I was going to throw up the entire time when I was getting ready for my first match on pay-per-view, then having three title matches in a row, it was a crazy experience.”

Being open to getting her own spin-off reality show: “Of course, me and Rusev talk about it all the time, and I would love for the show to be called Total Rusev… But Total Lana would be even better! But with this entire season of Total Divas and my adventures with Nattie, she is like the older sister I never had because in my family I am the oldest so I am used to bossing everyone around, and to see someone like Nattie boss me around and just be the way she is will be fun to see.”

It was rumored earlier today that Nia Jax had an issue at last week’s RAW and may have walked out on the company.

Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that Jax was actually given a leave of absence for personal reasons by WWE management. It’s unclear at this time when exactly she will return to the company but her role on the upcoming season of Total Divas isn’t expected to be affected since filming for the show has been completed.

In regards to her walking out on RAW, we are still unable to confirm that she actually did that. We will keep you updated.

While appearing on Lilian Garcia’s Podcast, Alicia Fox revealed that she didn’t like the way she came off as a “drunken nut” to the viewers that watched Total Divas.

“I was on it and I didn’t like the way I came off,” she said. “Not because of their editing, but because of myself. I didn’t like seeing where I was at that point. I thought I looked like a crazy young drunken nut. Trust me, I have those moments still, but I didn’t like everyone else seeing that.”

She continued, “That made me feel very uncomfortable. It’s still kind of uncomfortable because you think there were more wrestling fans because it’s my real job, but there’s more Diva fans in some cases and all they want to say is, ‘Oh my gosh, you and Paige are so nuts!’ Or if I’m at a bar or restaurants, they’ll send shots. I don’t like that. I think it relates to where I was in that state of mind and I couldn’t help but to blame my environment.”

TV Insider recently spoke with Alexa Bliss. Here are some highlights from the interview:

Bliss on joining the cast of Total Divas: “I was really excited to join Total Divas. I watched Total Divas and thought it was a really cool opportunity. It has been so much fun. It’s definitely not what I expected, with cameras 24/7, but it has been really cool. We got to go to Cabo. That’s how I got my pig, Larry-Steve. So, it has been such an amazing experience. I’m really happy I’m doing it.”

Bliss on her friendship with Nia Jax: “She is my best friend. We hang out together. We travel together. We started out on NXT together. The fact that she is there with me and going through the experience with me, it makes it that much better. It’s awesome. Nia and I, besides the Bellas, are kind of the true best friends on the show. I think it brings this new dynamic. Even though the other girls are real tight-knit, we have each other. We have each other’s back.”

Alexa Bliss on what fans can expect from her on the show: “People can expect a lot of fun. A lot of outgoing girls who are very opinionated. There is some definite craziness. However, it’s a great ride and a lot of fun.”

Nikki Bella is never one to shy away from saying what’s on her mind, and during a recent interview, the longest reigning WWE Diva’s Champion voiced the opinion that Total Divas, the WWE/E! Network reality show of which Bella is now an Executive Producer, doesn’t get enough credit for helping to spark the WWE’s Women’s Revolution.

According to Bella, she thinks the show is one of the main reasons the whole movement started.

“I think [Total Divas] helped start the women’s revolution. Total Divas [led to] more women started coming to our show, like, ‘I gotta check this out.’ I remember when Brie was fighting Stephanie McMahon, so many women showed up because they were like, ‘I can’t believe she’s fighting her boss, Oh My Gosh!’ It was crazy for them to even imagine, like, ‘She’s gonna hit her? Like, This is nuts!’ and so I think Total Divas has done so much for women’s wrestling. It was the first time that we got an hour of TV to ourselves, to really showcase what women do.”

She went on to say that the show gets a bad rap, in part, due to jealousy.

“What is unfortunate is that when Total Divas was succeeding and we became a hit reality show, they let people with a mic in the ring just bash it and us Total Divas never got a response. So, with the fans, it began to give Total Divas a bad name, ‘Oh, they are just reality stars.’ Actually, while the girls who aren’t on the reality show are just wrestling, us girls on the reality show are wrestling, are filming, are never sleeping, going to appearances, making sure that the world knows how amazing women wrestlers are. So, I don’t feel Total Divas gets enough credit because the words ‘reality show’ has ruined it for people. I think certain people also, characters for the company, have ruined it as well out of pure jealousy. I’ll admit that.”

Hmmm…. Total Divas. Women’s Revolution.

Yeah, Imma just leave this here and let you all decide for yourself where the spark came from.

Bella also had the following to say about the popularity of the show and fans at WWE events wanting to see the cast of Total Divas, not the women that weren’t on the show.

“It happened so quickly and so fast. I want to say that when seasons one and two came out, both of which we were lucky in that they had 16 episodes each, after that season two….Bam! Everyone wanted to know Natalya, Brie Bella, Naomi, Ariane. Everyone was like, ‘Who are these girls?’ and when we go to events, there would be women wrestlers who weren’t on the show and were getting more TV time than us and [the fans] wouldn’t care about them. They would be, ‘I want to see those Total Divas girls. Can you bring them back?’”

Lordy mercy, I bet this is going to go over real well in the locker room. Let’s hope this was her doing this in-character, otherwise, she’s burned some bridges.

Eva Marie took to her Twitter account to announce that she is done with WWE. She sent out the following:

WWE issued the following statement regarding her departure:

Eva Marie and WWE have mutually agreed to contractually part ways as of today, Aug. 4, 2017.
“Today I’m saying a bittersweet goodbye to @WWE,” Eva tweeted. “Thanks to the entire team, and YOU, my fans, for these 4 years! #AllRedEverythingForever”

WWE wishes Eva the best in all of her future endeavors.

Eva signed with the company back in 2013 and was a featured cast member on the Total Divas reality show for six seasons. She last appeared on WWE television back in August of 2016 before she was suspended for 30 days on August 17, 2016 for her first violation of the company’s Wellness Policy.

As previously noted, Paige was not a part of the upcoming season because she hasn’t been on the road with the company due to her neck injuries. It is still possible that she becomes a cast regular again upon her return to WWE, that is if she returns. Her status with the company appears to be up in the air given the drama that has surrounded her personal life lately. She was suspended for a wellness violation, involved in sex tape scandal and may be facing battery charges for an assault on her boyfriend at an airport.

Lana’s Rule For Fans

It was a rough night for SmackDown Live’s Lana last night. She teamed with Tamina in a losing effort against Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair, and the Richmond, West Virginia, crowd were heard chanting “You Can’t Wrestle” to the Ravishing Russian. In a series of tweets last night, she did delete one that originally stated:

“Come at me with your ignorant pathetic villager tweets & I’ll CRUSH your pathetic soul! WIN or LOSE I AM STILL RAVISHING!”

The other tweets she has yet to delete called fans “cowards” who hide behind their iPhones and tweet negativity towards her. She said these are the same people who would still ask her for an autograph or picture. Likely sticking to kayfabe, Lana says she will no longer abide to fans’ requests.

Carmella on New “Total Divas” Season

The new upcoming season of E!’s Total Divas will feature three new female superstars: Nia Jax, Alexa Bliss, and Carmella. To promote the new season, Carmella chatted with Muscle and Fitness: Hers about the new opportunities in the WWE including Total Divas. Speaking about hanging out more with fellow SmackDown Live superstars Natalya and Naomi, Carmella said,

“I mean, we’re actually always all together on the road, so you know it wouldn’t hurt to just add a camera in front of us. I’m excited because I think this is such an amazing time for the women in the WWE and female wrestlers in general. There’s so much going on in women’s wrestling right now, and I was just excited to kind of show what we do and what we’re all about and I know that Total Divas is about six seasons now and there’s Total Bellas and everything. So I’m excited to kind of share, you know, my story and what I am all about here in the WWE.”

“It’s definitely not something I’m used to. Being a WWE superstar, I mean…there’s a difference between Carmella on Smackdown Live and Carmella in real life. But, I mean I guess that is what you sign up for when doing a reality show. So, you know, one of the struggles I’m facing this season is a real-life struggle, with my boyfriend Big Cass, who’s on Raw, and I’m on Smackdown. So, you know, we see each other one day a week if we’re lucky. Sometimes we have to go a few weeks without seeing each other, sometimes we’re traveling on different, separate tours, to different countries. But, I mean, it is what it is, so there’s nothing we can do about it, we make do and we make the most of our time together that we do get. So again that is something that we struggle with, and I’m excited because I think you can kind of get to know us because we’ve been very private with our relationship, a lot of people don’t realize we’ve been together for almost four years. So, I’m excited for people to kind of get to know us and see, you know, what we’re all about.”

The start date for Total Divas hasn’t been announced, but it will air this fall. While Carmella, Bliss, and Jax enter the next season, fans will no longer see Eva Marie, Paige and Renee Young as main characters on the E! program.
