Dave Meltzer mentioned in the latest installment of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that rumors of AJ Styles possibly facing John Cena at next year’s WrestleMania 34 event are incorrect.

Meltzer wrote, ”I’m told that right now that is incorrect, and Cena is in a much bigger match than Styles. The only thing I was told is it will be clear within a few weeks what that match is.”

Meltzer mentioned The Undertaker, Batista, Goldberg and possibly Hulk Hogan as opponents for Cena at Mania’.

Representatives within WWE are claiming that The UK Sun’s report about Conor McGregor possibly having a match at next year’s WrestleMania event is “completely” inaccurate.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter they have been told that there haven’t been any talks between WWE and McGregor. The belief is that with Ronda Rousey expected to be part of the event next year, it’s very unlikely that WWE would spend the extra money to bring in McGregor as well.

Speaking of Ronda, she continues to train with Brian Kendrick in California for a WWE match.
