Dave Meltzer reported in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Bret Hart is hoping for WWE to induct The Hart Foundation into the Hall of Fame. Bret would like it to happen for Jim Neidhart because Neidhart is currently battling significant health issues and if it doesn’t come soon, he may not be able to enjoy it when it does.

The Hart Foundation is not one of the names rumored for this year’s Hall of Fame class, so it likely won’t happen this year.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest installment of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Bill Goldberg was in talks with New Japan. While very few details were provided, the idea was to bring Bill in for their big shows.

With Goldberg going into the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame class, it seems very unlikely now that New Japan Pro Wrestling is an option at this time.

It was reported a few weeks back that Matt Sydal has officially signed a contract with Impact Wrestling after working for the company since April.

There is a good chance Eddie Edwards could be heading to WWE next year.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his contract with Impact Wrestling runs up in February and there is a chance he could be leaving the company.

WWE apparently has interest in signing him to a deal for him to work the NXT brand. The company passed on him years ago but that was when they had a negative mentality toward ROH talent.

Meltzer also mentioned that Ring of Honor is interested in signing him as well.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest installment of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that AJ Styles’ current deal with WWE is slated to expire early 2019.

It’s worth noting that Styles hinted in a recent interview that he may be retiring in a “couple of years.” Meltzer suggests that it’s very rare that WWE Superstars in a prime spot in the company just walk away, especially when the money is good. It’s very possible that WWE could offer him a lighter work schedule if that is something Styles is interested in when that time comes around.

It was previously reported that Tough Enough winner Josh Bredl was released from his contract with WWE last week.

Dave Meltzer indicated in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that after suffering either a bad concussion or multiple concussions, he was never expected to return to the company. It becomes a legal issue where he was kept under contract to alleviate any potential future legal issues. The company felt that had been for long enough and he was cut, but his being cut was inevitable for a long time.

WWE Champion Jinder Mahal has been working with a shoulder injury, which has been bothering him in recent weeks.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Mahal has been wearing Kinesio Tape at WWE Live Events but not on WWE television or pay-per-view events. The belief is WWE doesn’t want fans to see him taped up on television.

Dave Meltzer mentioned in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the day after the Young Bucks got their cease and desist letter from WWE, representatives from 2K Games asked them to work on doing motion captures for next year’s WWE 2K19 video game.

Apparently so many people in last year’s game were using “Create-A-Wrestler” mode to play as The Bucks and the company felt they needed them to do the work so that they could get all of their signature moves in the next game.

As previously reported, Ric Flair is finally home after being released from the hospital back on September 21st and Flair may already be on WWE’s radar for upcoming events.

Dave Meltzer speculated in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE will want him to appear on camera at the November 14th RAW in Charlotte and also the Starrcade event in Greensboro at the end of November, assuming he is physically able to attend.

It will be interesting to see if WWE actually uses Matt’s ideas. This past Monday on RAW he was placed into a tag-team match with Jason Jordan to take on The Miztourage.
