We reported earlier this week that Bobby Lashley & EC3 both finished with Impact Wrestling this past weekend at the television tapings and the belief is that they could be headed to WWE.

PWInsider reports that EC3 is completely free from his Impact obligations and is free to sign with WWE at any time. Lashley won’t be free until February 1st, so that would eliminate any chances of him making a special appearance at the upcoming Royal Rumble event.

Speaking of EC3, Dixie Carter posted the following on Twitter regarding his departure:

Triple H discussed the company’s decision to not allow Daniel Bryan to wrestle during a recent appearance at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour panel. Triple H indicated that unless it can be proven that he’s healthy enough to return, they would not allow him to compete on their programming.

“There can be no exception, medically,” he says. “If the belief is that he’s not healthy enough and it is a risk for to perform, then I don’t know why we would ever allow him to step in the ring unless it can be proven otherwise.”

Triple H continued, “We have some of the best medical people in the world working for us. Our wellness policy, our concussion programs, out protocols–I’ll put them up against any on the planet. The medical experts will make the determination of whether Bryan can set foot in that ring or not,” Triple H explains. “Personally, for him, I know it’s something he loved doing and I hope he has that opportunity. But at the same point in time, he’s married and has a child. We serve the human being first.”

On today’s episode of The Taz Show, Taz will debut a new weekly special entitled, “Throwback Snack”. Once a week, Taz will watch, analyze and break down a classic match from years gone by. On today’s show, he will discuss the classic 1985 match between Ric Flair and Ron Garvin which aired live from the TBS Studio in Atlanta.

This was an NWA Championship match, and Taz thought the television studio setting was a very intriguing place for this bout to take place. He thought this match was an awesome, physical bout, and he begins his detailed analysis from start to finish.

The commentary team for this match was Tony Schiavone and David Crockett. He’s always been a fan of Schiavone’s work, from his early NWA days continuing on to his work for WCW during the Monday Night Wars.

On the other hand, he wasn’t a fan of David Crockett’s commentary work at all, and he says it’s a good thing that Crockett’s family owned the business because if they didn’t he probably wouldn’t have lasted long in that position. Taz feels that Schiavone should have been the lead commentator here, not Crockett.

PWInsider reports Impact Wrestling will tape episodes of television at the February 3rd WrestlePro event at Rahway Rec Center in Rahway, New Jersey.

The show is being billed “Brace for Impact” and will feature Impact Champion Eli Drake, Bobby Lashley, Moose, Alberto el Patron, Sonjay Dutt, Allie, KM, Braxton Sutter, Eddie Edwards, Matt Sydal, Fallah Bah, Mario Bokara and more.

Former WWE Superstar Tenille “Emma” Dashwood, Angelina Love, and Dan Maff are also being advertised for the show. It’s unknown if these names will be appearing on television but we will keep you updated if anything is announced.

Another Knockout within Impact Wrestling is apparently looking to get out of their deal with the company.

Squared Circle Sirens reports that Laurel Van Ness has asked for her release following the most-recent set of television tapings. While Impact to release her, the belief is that her request will be granted.

She will soon join MJ Jenkins, Madison Rayne, and Taryn Terrell as Knockouts who have left the company recently.

Russo is joined on today’s show by Kenny ‘Starmaker’ Bolin and his co-host Jeff Lane.

Russo says he always gives credit where credit is due and The Shield’s reunion has been done very well by WWE. He points out that they got a big pop when they reunited on RAW this week and although it’s smart of WWE to give the fans what they want in this case, one part of Russo was wishing for Ambrose and Rollins to turn on Reigns when they were standing at the top of the ramp early in this show.

Bolin points out that opening an episode of RAW with Sheamus is something that he’d avoid at all costs. He says he’s never been a fan of Sheamus and he often turns off the television when Sheamus comes on but apparently Sheamus is ‘Triple H’s boy’, and evidently that’s enough to keep you on WWE programming for a long period of time.

Russo says he had RAW on in the background on Monday and when he looked up he saw Enzo Amore in the ring. For the first time in forever he actually rewinded RAW in order to hear Amore’s promo. In regards to the lumberjack match, Russo says it doesn’t make any sense whatsoever to have the heel outnumbered by a dozen babyface lumberjacks on the outside of the ring.

As noted in our spoiler report, Tommy Dreamer made an appearance at the television tapings Saturday night in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is the first time Dreamer has appeared in ROH since 2004.

Dreamer confronted Jay Briscoe for his attack on Bully Ray at Death Before Dishonor. Bully Ray appeared later in the night and mentioned that he didn’t know if he would have to retire from the business due to his injuries he sustained from the attack at the pay-per-view event.

Taz opens today’s show speaking about the passing of Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan.

Taz says that Heenan was a trailblazer for many people in the business of professional wrestling. He was a trendsetter who revolutionized several different aspects of the business. Taz adds that he didn’t work with Heenan frequently, but every time he interacted with Heenan it was easy to see that the character we saw on our television screens was simply him in real life.

Heenan was one of the only people who Taz was legitimately nervous to meet when he got into the wrestling business. Heenan was one of Taz’s biggest influences, especially when it came to the commentating side of his career, so he was very nervous to meet him. Not surprisingly, Heenan was a pleasure to deal with and if you met him once, it was almost as if you knew him your whole life.

Taz says that Heenan was the best Manager of all time, and he’s undoubtably one of the best commentators of all time as well. He concludes by saying he just wishes he knew Heenan better than he did. He sends his love, thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of Heenan, and he dedicates this show to the memory of Heenan.

Dave Meltzer mentioned in the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that it is very possible that Primo and Epico could be revealed as the individuals who have been attacking Breezango.

Primo, who has been out of action since June due to a knee injury is expected to be back imminently. WWE has kept Epico off television although he has been working WWE Live Events regularly.

Meltzer reported that the original plan was for Erick Rowan & Luke Harper to be revealed as the attackers as those two have not been used on television either.
