While speaking to Cerrito Live, James Storm was asked about possibly returning to NXT and mentioned it’s definitely a possibility that he could return to that brand.

“People always say, ‘main roster or bust type of guy,’ but if you look at NXT, it’s one of the hottest things going right now no matter what people say. And it’s one of those things where anybody would be proud to be signed to NXT and have a good run there. I mean, it’s plain and simple. They are doing as much as the people on the main roster is on the road and stuff like that right now. So, I mean, I’d definitely go and work with those guys and help them out as best I can.”

Storm also talked about his next move and revealed that he wants to keep it under wraps and make it a surprise.

“There are a lot of companies and the funny thing is that I’m now free to talk and negotiate with other companies and actually go work for other companies. But right now, I think I kind of want to keep it under wraps, make it a surprise where old James Storm pops up.”

Storm explained, “I just want to be a surprise because today, especially in our social media world, there [are] not that many surprises anymore. And because everybody wants to be cool and I always say, ‘people are wrestling for the likes and the retweets’ or GIFS, whatever they call those things these days. But to me, I always try to keep stuff kayfabe and keep stuff secret until it happens or whatever, so it’s even cooler when it’s a surprise.”

Block 1:

A listener calls into the show and mentions that he was excited to see A.J. Styles defeat Jinder Mahal to claim the WWE Title on Smackdown Live this week, but at the same time, he hopes Mahal doesn’t fall back down into a mid-card role now. Taz says he really doubts that’s going to happen because WWE has invested too much television time and money into Mahal to let him slip back into a mid-card role.

Taz points out that James Storm has reportedly left Impact Wrestling, and he thinks there’s definitely a possibility that we could see Storm back in WWE. He’s not sure what happened during Storm’s recent, short run in NXT, but he thinks there’s a chance that Storm could have another opportunity in WWE.

As for the rumours that Storm should team up with Bobby Roode and re-form Beer Money, Taz doesn’t think that’s going to happen. He says that Roode has had a great singles run since signing in NXT and then transitioning to the main roster. Roode has a great singles gimmick right now, and there’s simply no need to team these guys back up.

While speaking to Wrestling Inc, James Storm responded to the rumors that he didn’t sign with WWE because the company reportedly gave him a low-ball offer. According to Storm, that wasn’t the case.

“A lot of people say it was money, but it wasn’t. It was a family thing,” Storm said. “Hunter told me they’d run 100-125 shows over the next two years. My wife wanted to have another kid, but she had to do shots, and I had to be at home a lot more. It was a decision: do I go and live this crazy of wrestling in the WWE or do I stay home and help my wife have another child that she wants? I decided that my family was what is really important to me.”

Hulk Hogan recently tweeted a message saying that victims of Hurricane Irma who didn’t suffer enough according to Hogan’s standards were “crybabies.”

Hogan, who lives in Clearwater Florida, referred to victims who lost their power and water supplies as “crybabies” who could have had it much worse.

No water,no power, crybabies, everyone’s complaining, these people have no clue how bad it could be,Praying for those that got hit hard, lost

Hogan got backlash as the tweets sparked outrage on social media.

Replying to a tweeet of support, Hogan called some victims “spoiled” who need a headbutt from Kevin Owens for complaining about the hurricane.

Hurricane Irma has caused at least a total of 82 deaths, with 43 in the Carribean and 39 in US in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. A criminal investigation is also going on into a Hollywood, Florida nursing room that lost power in the storm and claimed eight lives.

As previously reported, the original plan for the Mae Young Classic finals were for Kairi Sane to defeat Toni Storm. Those plans were changed when the company decided to “go all out” for the Horsewoman storyline, so they went with Shayna Baszler instead of Storm for the finals.

According to Dave Meltzer, the decision was made on Monday not to feature anything regarding the Horsewoman storyline. They company decided to make the night all about Kairi Sane and save the Ronda Rousey & Four Horsewoman angle for a later date.

There is a rumor going around online that suggests that Vince didn’t want to base the tournament around Shayna because she’s not signed with the company. Those reports appear to be false as Triple H indicated on Twitter prior to the tournament that both Baszler and Kairi have both signed deals to the company.

Lawler is joined on today’s show by his co-host Glenn Moore.

Lawler says his residence in Florida was lucky enough to escape the wrath of Hurricane Irma. He couldn’t believe the strength of this storm, and there were a lot of people who didn’t get quite as lucky as he did.

A listener writes into the show and asks Lawler if WWE-contracted Superstars are able to wrestle at indie events. Lawler says performers signed to contracts in WWE aren’t able to wrestle at indie events, but there are some cases where third party bookings occur when an indie promotion pays WWE’s fee to utilize a certain Superstar.

On the five year anniversary of Lawler’s cardiac arrest, Lawler and Moore discuss the events of that evening.

Moore points out that there are actually some conspiracists out there who don’t believe Lawler suffered a cardiac arrest that evening. They believe that it was all a part of a WWE storyline and that it was all a staged event. Lawler says that he can’t remember anything about it and he hasn’t had any lasting side effects from it, so sometimes he thinks it was all a hoax as well.
