We reported earlier today that WWE has hired on longtime Impact Wrestling employee Jeremy Borash to be a part of the company. At the time of press, we were unable to confirm his exact role with the company but we can now tell you that he will be working for the NXT brand. It was also Triple H’s decision to bring him on.

While there is no official word on when he will start with the company, NXT will be taping television in Atlanta, GA this week so it’s possible he could start at that time. We are unable to confirm at this time if he will have an on-screen role, but we will keep you updated if we hear anything.

Former WWE Superstar Molly Holly denied reports that she will be part of the Women’s Royal Rumble match this Sunday. It was previously reported by PWInsider & Wrestling Observer that she would be in the match but according to Holly she won’t be.

Holly revealed during an interview with Wrestling Inc and that she found out about being in the match online. She said she called WWE about these reports and they informed her that fans were only predicting who would be in the match.

“My friends’ kids were texting me and they’re like, ‘I saw on the internet that you’re gonna be in the Royal Rumble,’” she said. “I was like, ‘I am?! Oh my gosh! Where does it say this?’ So I start looking like, is this like some thing that they just forgot to tell me? So then, I actually called, because I was like, ‘Am I gonna be?’ So then I called the WWE, and I was like, ‘Is this like a thing?’ And they were like, ‘Oh, fans are predicting who’s gonna be in the Rumble.’ I was like, ‘oh, I’m sorry. I’m like embarrassed.’ I’m just a mark who believes everything that’s on the Internet. But, for a second, I was like ‘Ah crap! I don’t have enough time. I need months to prepare!’ But then it’s not even true, so it was nice enough that the fans cared enough to start a rumor. So, that’s cool.”

Former WWE Superstar Chris Masters recently spoke with CLICKON Sports. Here are some highlights from the interview:

His name: “Masters was given to me on my second week in OVW. I was in the developmental system, and it was Dr Tom Pritchard who told me that I was going to be known as Masters. I was really just happy to be there so I didn’t question it, and I didn’t necessarily think it was cool at first but it grew on me with time.”

Start in pro wrestling: “I didn’t even start working out until I decided I was gonna be a pro wrestler, and that was probably around 15 or 16. I remember that the year prior to that I had weightlifting class during first period, and I was just sat there wondering why these guys were trying to lift these heavy weights, like what’s the point?”

Love for wrestling: “I was the wrestling nerd throughout that time. I played water polo, which a lot of people don’t take seriously, but it’s a tough sport. I was backyard wrestling when I was a kid, and I’ve been obsessed with this for my entire life.”

Other interests he has: “I love politics. I have a very passionate interest about politics and social interests. I’m fascinated by that whole process, and I also love basketball. That’s probably what I used to replace wrestling, and I was searching for something else to watch because you’re so ‘in’ the wrestling world sometimes.”

His release and CM Punk’s mentioning him on Raw: “I was heartbroken about the whole thing. I was more heartbroken that it was being taken away from me because I enjoyed it so much. In terms of CM Punk, it was nice because he added that little bit in for me which I knew he actually meant, because he’d pointed it out to me several times. I appreciated that, but I also knew it was something that was talked about by the powers that be so I was a little conflicted. I was being used as a storyline.”

Triple H & current Impact run: “I was told I was going to get pushed by Hunter and plenty of people, but you know, I’m in a great situation now on Impact Wrestling with Eli Drake. It presents a lot of opportunities, and if I stay on track, stay healthy and I’m able to go out there and do my thing, I think the sky is the limit.”

WWE announced that Shayna Baszler has begun training at the WWE Performance Center. WWE published the following quote from Baszler about her transition from mixed martial arts to professional wrestling:

“It’s very serious to me and, in some ways, a lot more important [than MMA] based on where I come from. Waving the banner of my coaches is a heavy flag to wield, so it’s something I take very serious. Because of that, I wanted to start at the beginning and show that I’m willing to start at the bottom and prove myself and work my way up, so there’s no excuse when I get here and I’m breaking these girls in half. I didn’t get any ‘gimmes.’”

Jeff Jarrett claimed that there was no deal between The Hardy Boyz and Antheme over useage of the “BROKEN” gimmick during today’s GFW conference call. Reby Hardy took to her Twitter account after word got out of Jeff’s remarks and posted a series of tweets:

We had agreement terms as of LAST WEEK. Included non-disparagement clause to the tune of 5k every time I tweet something about TNA…

* Ember Moon defeated former TNA Knockout Lei’D Tapa. After the match, Ember challenges Asuka for TakeOver: Brooklyn.

* Authors of Pain’s match doesn’t happen because SAnitY attack Retton and his partner and then brawl with the Authors. The Authors get the better of the exchange in the end.

* The Velveteen Dream defeated Cezar Bononi via rain maker.

* Drew McIntyre comes out to talk about the upcoming Takeover event in Brooklyn. Drew says it’s our NXT and not Bobby Roode’s.

* Bobby Roode (c) vs. Drew McIntyre for the NXT Champoinship is announced as the main event of TakeOver: Brooklyn.

* Kassius Ohno defeats Hideo Itami by DQ when Itami low blows him. After the match he hits him with two “Go to Sleeps” and walks off.

WWE has reportedly signed former Impact Knockout Thea Trinidad.

According to Pro Wrestling Sheets she will be headed to the WWE Performance Center to start her career in WWE. For those not aware, Trinidad is currently dating Austin Aries and also shot scenes as AJ Lee earlier this year for the upcoming film about Paige’s life.
