PWInsider reports that WWE is planning to have Roman Reigns face John Cena at the upcoming WWE No Mercy event.

The match was originally rumored to take place at WrestleMania, however WWE is deciding to pull the trigger and fast track the match. It was reported last week that Vince McMahon wanted to move Cena to RAW to help give Roman a rub as the top guy of the company. This probably played a role in the match being moved up.

WWE No Mercy will take place on September 24, 2017 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. As always, we will have live play-by-play coverage of the event.

Austin lives in the area and sometimes attends WWE shows and conducts interviews with the wrestlers for his podcast.
