Russo is joined on today’s show by former ECW, WCW and WWE Superstar, Big Vito.

Russo mentions that he has several new year resolutions this year, and he wants to share them with his audience.

First and foremost, he admits that he needs to lose some weight. He says he’s lost weight before when he put his mind to it, so he just needs to start exercising more and eating healthier and he’s sure he’ll shed some weight again.

Additionally, Russo informs that he doesn’t want to be involved with things he doesn’t enjoy anymore. He has spent years of his life on airplanes and watching wrestling when he had no interest in doing either. He points out that he’ll be 57 years old this month, and he’s sick of wasting his life doing things he doesn’t enjoy.

His third resolution is to find a way to enjoy WWE’s product in 2018. He watches RAW and Smackdown now and is angered by the fact that he wasted hours of his life watching something that isn’t entertaining, and he doesn’t know why he feels that way. His critics say he’s bitter but that couldn’t be farther from the truth in his opinion, because he has no interest in returning to WWE at this point.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Impact Wrestling is not happy with Rockstar Spud leaving the company to go work for WWE.

The company apparently spent a lot of money helping out Spud with his via issues that were preventing him from working in the US. They spent roughly $20,000 helping him out. Two weeks after the issue was resolved, he asked for his release from the company. However, it’s worth pointing out that the visa issues were because of an error in the paperwork that Impact made during the “Dixie Carter era.”

As previously noted, Spud is expected to debut on 205 Live next week on RAW, alongside of Hideo Itami.

Dreamer wrote on Twitter, “Spent the night in ER @bullyray5150 He got his bell rung again Concerned for him.”

Bully later wrote, “Thanks for the well wishes. Much appreciated. Was a long night and a rough day so far. Wish I could say I was doing better.”

...

Bischoff is joined on today’s show by his co-host Nick Hausman.

Bischoff was sad to hear of Bobby Heenan’s passing this past weekend. He says that while he and Heenan weren’t overly close, he loved his time working with him. He also says that anytime one of your peers passes away, it’s a sobering experience.

He says that when Heenan came into WCW from WWE, that was a big adjustment for him. Heenan was accustomed to working for a well oiled machine in WWE, and even though WCW was growing and improving, they were far from perfect. Bischoff thinks Heenan looked at working for WCW as a bit of a step down at that point in his career, and Gene Okerlund felt the same way.

Nonetheless, Bischoff thinks Heenan really enjoyed his time working in WCW when the product was good, but he certainly became frustrated when the product was bad and Bischoff doesn’t blame him for that at all. He says that he’s very grateful to have spent some time with Heenan a couple of years ago at a convention, and even though Heenan’s body was failing, he still loved getting out and meeting his fans.
