Ethan Carter III is backstage for tonight’s Impact tapings. He was originally scheduled to finish up with the company last night.

There is talk that Bobby Lashely may be finishing up with the company in January, which means that tonight could be his last appearance.

Nick Aldis, Dave Lagana and Tim Storm are also there filming content for the NWA.

Gamma Singh from the old days of Stampede Wrestling is backstage visiting, as is Haku/Meng.

WWE is at the US Bank Arena in Cincinnati, OH for tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live. Here are some highlights from the show:

* AJ Styles opens up the show talking about his title match against Jinder Mahal at Sunday’s Clash of Champions. The Singh Brothers interrupt. They say they won’t be introducing Mahal. Replay is shown of Mahal’s attack on them. AJ invites them down to the ring, so they can hung it out. The Singh Brothers announce they are done with Mahal and they want to be in AJ’s corner on Sunday. AJ calls them out for being in Jinder’s corner over the weekend at the event in India.

* Out comes Jinder Mahal. Styles says he’s not buying it and he wants his match at Sunday a one-on-one match. He then attcks The Singh Brothers and toss them out of the ring. Mahal steps up on the apron while Styles taunts him to come into the ring. “Jinder Sucks” chants break out. One guy yells, “I Love You Jinder.” Jinder checks on The Singh Brothers. Styles holds up the WWE Title as Jinder looks on.

* Dolph Ziggler defeats Baron Corbin by disqualification when Bobby Roode comes in and takes them both out. The entrances were longer than the match.

* The Bludgeon Brothers defeat two enhancement talents.

PWInsider indicated that The Singh Brothers may be done with WWE following Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live.

WWE has apparently wrote them off television after losing a handicap match to AJ Styles and then being attacked by Jinder Mahal on this week’s show. There was talk a few weeks back that they were going to be replaced as Mahal’s seconds by other talents within the company but those talks have quieted down.

The Singhs were originally brought in as part of the Cruiserweight Classic and were briefly part of 205 Live before being shifted into the role of Mahal’s seconds.

It was announced on tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live that Kevin Owens will face Nakamura on next week’s show. The winner of that match will qualify for a spot on Team SmackDown for the upcoming WWE Survivor Series event.

Samir Singh vs. AJ Styles was also announced for next week’s show.

Welcome to SmackDown Live after a huge episode of Monday Night Raw!

Last night on Raw, Shane McMahon came to Monday Night Raw and brought with him the entire SmackDown Live roster, who destroyed everyone they came across backstage. It was a huge shot across the bow ahead of Survivor Series, where Team Raw will face Team SmackDown Live. Kurt Angle was not expecting the shots-fired by Shane McMahon, and it’s first blood to the blue brand. However, is Raw going to retaliate? Surely the red brand will want to extract revenge but will it be tonight? Also, are Shane and Kurt the team captain’s? That seemed to be the implication last night but I hope to get some confirmation on tonight’s show.

Elsewhere on tonight’s show, AJ Styles looks to make a mark on Jinder Mahal as he battles Sunil Singh. Styles’s WWE Championship challenge is impending but right now Mahal is focused on Brock Lesnar, which could leave Styles with a great opportunity to catch him off-guard. Styles has had a hard weekend, flying from South America to compete against Finn Balor, then he teamed with Rollins and Ambrose at the beginning of Raw, only to join SmackDown Live as they obliterated Raw. Styles could be exhausted from all the travel and fighting, but he should have enough in the tank to off one of the Singh Brothers, but two of them? Perhaps not.

A huge 8-man tag team match also features on tonight’s SmackDown Live. The Uso’s team with The New Day to take on Rusev, Aiden English, Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin. These 8 have had some troubles as of late and they look to settle their differences on tonight’s show. It will be interesting to see New Day and Uso’s teaming for the first time, which could signal a babyface turn for The Uso’s, and maybe even a heel turn for Gable and Benjamin.

Seth Rollins made an appearance at Saturday’s WWE Live Event and challenged Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship. The incident went down while Jinder Mahal was cutting an in-ring promo and Rollins made his surprise appearance and cut a promo as well. This led to a match between the two. The match ended in disqualification when the Singh brothers interfered.

Originally Shinsuke Nakamura was scheduled to face Mahal at the event, however Rollins’ filled in as the replacement.

WWE’s booking of Jinder Mahal: “I’m a fan of the decision to make Jinder Mahal the WWE Champ, but I feel that his random utilization of his Singh sidekicks might be overdone. Nonetheless, the former Bollywood Boys take a helluva, ass whipping. Enjoying the villains getting success, which generally adds to the build of most storylines within the genre. If I were to err in booking, and I have plenty of times, I’d suggest erring on the side of antagonist angst more often than not. ‘Heat’ is good.”

Lana’s SmackDown Women’s Title shot: “Lana ‘earning’ a Women’s Tile match? Hmm….the pressure is on for her to deliver in front of a somewhat unforgiving and discerning fan base.”

Upcoming female MITB Ladder Match: “Arguably, today I’m more excited to see the women’s [MITB] bout than the men’s in a few weeks, essentially because of the unique nature of this match being the first ever Women’s MITB match ever. I see these athletic women perceiving this booking as very personal and one can only hope that they are discerning about whey they want to do in this match and remember that their safety should never be compromised, which is largely up to the talents in the match. The Gents in the their TLC bout better lace them up tight or they could be outperformed by the women here.”
