Triple H Talks Collaborating with Vince McMahon About NXT
…
Several readers have sent word that Finn Balor worked Saturday’s WWE Live Event in Hampton, Virginia wearing Kinesio tape on his shoulder. It’s being speculated that he may have aggravated the shoulder on Friday’s Live Event, as he was not wearing the tape that night.
For those not aware, Kinesio tape is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion. John Cena used this tape back in 2016 when he was healing from an injury. Other WWE Superstars have been seen using it as well.
As of this writing, an injury has not been confirmed or announced but it’s probably something only minor. We will keep you updated if we hear anything else regarding Balor’s status.
WWE has posted the following footage of Roman Reigns in Tokyo on Saturday getting “Thank You Roman” chants from the crowd.

As previously reported, Brock Lesnar is being advertised to face Baron Corbin at the July 29th SmackDown Live Event from Detroit, Michigan.
Brock is now being advertised to replace John Cena at the SmackDown Live Event on Saturday August 12th at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
As previously noted, John Cena will be making his return to weekly WWE programming on the July 4th episode of SmackDown Live and will be billed as a “free agent” moving forward. Dave Meltzer discussed Cena’s return on today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Radio and speculated what his schedule could be like when he returns to the company.
While none of this is confirmed, Meltzer presented a scenario that could see Cena work only RAW and SmackDown televised events on Monday’s and Tuesday. He would not work WWE Live Events later in the week. This scenario would leave Cena plenty of time to fulfill his non-WWE commitments and Cena would still have a strong presence on WWE programming. Cena would of course work both pay-per-view events for the RAW and SmackDown Live brands each month. So basically, he would work Sunday-Tuesday and have Wednesday through Saturday off.
Coming out of Saturday’s NXT Takeover: Chicago event, Bobby Roode is expected to move into a program with Drew McIntyre and the two will feud over the NXT Championship Title.
Another feud moving forward will see Heavy Machinery feuding with The Authors of Pain for the NXT Tag Team Championship Titles.
After NXT Takeover: Chicago went off the air Saturday night, WWE filmed footage of Johnny Cargano being loaded into the ambulance after the beating he received at the hands of Tommaso Ciampa.
WWE has posted footage from the segment on YouTube and will most-likely be airing it on WWE programming.
