Russo is joined on today’s show by his co-host, Jeff Lane, and former WWE Superstars, Stevie Richards and Bin Hamin.

Richards says he couldn’t understand Ronda Rousey’s debut at the Royal Rumble this past Sunday. Rousey shook Stephanie McMahon’s hand at ringside, but the last time they saw each other on WWE programming Rousey put McMahon in an arm bar. He mentions that some people are saying Rousey’s ready to be a full-time talent, but he thought she looked lost in the ring on Sunday, looking like she didn’t have a clue what to do.

Russo has a hard time believing that Asuka and Nakamura are the two performers that WWE wants to push as their top stars right now. He points out that neither of them can cut a promo, and he agrees with Lane in the sense that adding subtitles for their promos would be an improvement. He also suggests that a hot female translator would be a nice addition to Nakamura’s presentation, to accompany his rockstar gimmick.

Russo says he’d rather see Braun Strowman destroying things for 20 minutes to start RAW instead of a 20-minute match, but he’s also starting to get tired of Strowman flipping stuff over. He points out that turning over a desk is somewhat anticlimactic after Strowman flipped over an 18-wheeler just a couple of weeks ago.

Ronda Rousey made her WWE debut at tonight’s Royal Rumble event. Rousey appeared after Asuka won the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble match. Ronda got into the ring and pointed at the WrestleMania sign. When she went to shake Asuka’s hand, she slapped it instead. Ronda pointed at the WrestleMania sign again. She then made her way to the announce booth and approached Stephanie McMahon and shook her hand.

Ronda has been rumored for nearly a year now that she would be debuting with the company, and she finally did tonight. It’s obviously coming out of tonight’s show that she will be involved with either Asuka, Charlotte, Alexa Bliss or Stephanie at WrestleMania this year.

Dave Meltzer mentioned on the latest installment of Wrestling Observer Radio that everyone involved in the women’s Royal Rumble match is wanting to know exactly what’s going on. Many “sense” that Ronda Rousey will be debuting in the match and possibly winning it.

Meltzer discussed the spot that saw Asuka dominating the other women on Monday’s RAW, and it seems to suggest that she won’t be winning The Rumble as WWE usually doesn’t telegraph their outcomes in that manner.

On scenario presented is that Rousey could appear in the match along with Asuka and be the last two competitors. Rousey would throw Asuka over to win and then in the weeks following, Asuka could be Alexa Bliss for the RAW Women’s Championship, setting up a title match against Rousey at WrestleMania 34.

– Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Reports that Ronda Rousey’s dinner meeting with Triple H that was reported by TMZ was a plant. It’s believed they did the story to get publicity for her pending arrival to WWE.

– The 25th Anniversary of RAW is expected to have two-hours from the Barclays Center and one-hour from the Manhattan Center. It’s believed that some talent may appear at both locations.

– There is talk that WWE may be filming backstage at the 25th Anniversary show for a documentary for the event.

– Ticket demand for the Royal Rumble event in Philadelphia is said to be an “all time record high.”

Triple H apparently skipped out on Tuesday’s SmackDown Live tapings to have dinner with Ronda Rousey in Los Angeles.

According to TMZ, the two were having dinner at the Republique restaurant and it appeared to be going pretty smooth. TMZ speculates WWE and Rousey are “one step closer” to sealing the deal. One WWE source told TMZ that it’s very unusual for Triple H to skip out on a SmackDown taping, as he’s on hand for everything.

As previously reported, Rousey has been rumored to be having a match at this year’s Wrestlemania against either Charlotte, Asuka or Stephanie McMahon. We will keep you updated if we hear about a deal being reached between WWE and Ronda.

As of this writing, Asuka is currently the heavy favorite to win the Women’s first-ever Royal Rumble match that takes place later this month at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event. She sits at 11/8, while Ronda Rousey is the second favorite to win.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Ronda Rousey is virtually a “lock” to be at WrestleMania 34 next year and possibly even the Royal Rumble if she’s ready.

It was previoiusly reported that Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir are no longer training for a career in professional wrestling, so the Four Horsewomen vs. Four Horsewoman storyline is nixed. If Rousey was to step into the ring and wrestle, much of how she is booked will depend on if she signed a one-and-done deal with WWE or if she signs on something more long-term. Opponents discussed for her are Charlotte Flair or Asuka.

While Dave Meltzer reported earlier this week that there are currently no plans for WWE to have a Women’s Royal Rumble match, The UK Sun have confirmed that they have heard differently.

According to The Sun’s report, WWE is beefing up the women’s roster on both brands, which is the reason why the company brought up several talents from NXT this past week. The Sun speculates that Ronda Rousey may be factored into the plans for The Rumble match and could possibly be the soul survivor of the match to go on to challenge Charlotte at WrestleMania for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Speaking of The Rumble, the UK Sun also mentioned that it’s very likely that the match will feature less women in comparison to the male’s traditional Royal Rumble match.
