Daryl Takahashi Confirmed For ROH Global Wars

After an extended vacation to recover from his near death experience during the G1 Climax tournament, it looks like Daryl Takahashi is finally getting back to work. ROH has confirmed that Daryl will be at all four of next week’s Global Wars shows. He will accompany Hiromu Takahashi to the ring and be on commentary at all of the shows.

ROHWrestling.com has learned that Daryl Takahashi has agreed to terms and will be accompanying Hiromu Takahashi on the Global Wars Tour. In addition to accompanying the former IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion to the ring, by popular demand, Daryl will be joining commentary for all of Hiromu Takahashi’s matches barring any unanticipated injuries sustained at the hands of ROH and New Japan competitors.

Lita Talks WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles

During a recent interview, WWE Hall Of Famer Lita talked about the possibility of WWE adding a set of tag team titles to their Women’s Divisions.

“There has been talks of tag titles for the Women’s Division, and I think that I love that they first introduced the Money in the Bank briefcase, that’s been a long time coming and that adds an element of surprise within the title picture. I would love to see these rumored tag titles appear sooner than later, but for that to happen, I hope they bring up these women that are already at NXT or some women they’ve seen on the Mae Young Classic and expand the roster.”

ROH Global Wars 2017 is right around the corner, and Ring Of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling are teaming up for four nights of great action, including IWGP United States Champion Kenny Omega putting his title on the line against YOSHI-HASHI.

ROH has updated some of the cards and announced several matches for each of the upcoming shows.

ROH Global Wars 2017 Match Cards

October 12th, Buffalo, NY

• The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega vs The Kingdom
• Will Ospreay vs Punishment Martinez
• Hiromu Takahashi vs Christopher Daniels
• Mark Briscoe and War Machine vs Minoru Suzuki and Killer Elite Squad

October 13th, Pittsburgh, PA

• Will Ospreay, YOSHI-HASHI, & Toru Yano vs Ring Of Honor Champion Cody Rhodes, IWGP US Champion Kenny Omega, and Marty Scurll
• Silas Young vs Minoru Suzuki

October 14th, Columbus, OH

• Ring Of Honor Champion Cody Rhodes vs KUSHIDA
• The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega vs Flip Gordoon, Trent Beretta, and Chuck Taylor

October 15th, Villa Park, IL

• IWGP US Championship Match: Kenny Omega vs YOSHI-HASHI

These aren’t the full cards for each show, and Ring Of Honor should be making further match announcements through next week.

ROH also announced that Ringside Members will be able to stream the shows on the 13th & 14th on the ROH website for free, and the show on the 15th will be an iPPV available for $19.99.
