PWInsider reports that former Impact Wrestling talent Rockstar Spud is currently scheduled to make his debut for WWE at next week’s television tapings. Spud is expected to be part of the 205 Live brand and will also appear on RAW.

Spud worked for Impact Wrestling between 2012 and 2017. He requested his release from Impact Wrestling in September and signed with WWE in October.

Another Knockout within Impact Wrestling is apparently looking to get out of their deal with the company.

Squared Circle Sirens reports that Laurel Van Ness has asked for her release following the most-recent set of television tapings. While Impact to release her, the belief is that her request will be granted.

She will soon join MJ Jenkins, Madison Rayne, and Taryn Terrell as Knockouts who have left the company recently.

While WWE 2K18 was released last month, there haven’t been a release date availble for the Nintendo Switch console. 2K posted the update below on Twitter this week, noting that the release date is coming soon:

According to PWInsider, WWE released former Tough Enough winner Josh Bredl late last week.

Bredl earned his contract by winning Tough Enough back in 2015. He suffered a concussion last year and had not been in the ring in some time. Additionally, Bredl had not been training at the WWE Performance Center prior to his release.

The Wrestling Observer reports that Brandi Rhodes left Global Force Wrestling after she requested her release, which was granted. Brandi recently got a job on a non-wrestling television show in Atlanta, Georgia and GFW wanted a percentage of her earnings for that job. She refused to give up 10 percent of her earnings and asked for her release from the company.

Moving forward, Brandi plans to work for Ring of Honor and other independent wrestling promotions.

It was reported yesterday that WWE has released NXT Superstar HoHo Lun. No reason was given to exactly why he left the company at the time of the story

In an update, a WWE representative issued a statement to Pro Wrestling Sheet and revealed that he left the company for personal reasons.

“WWE has granted HoHo Lun’s request to be released for personal reasons,” stated the WWE representative.

Hun requested his release “to deal with a family situation,” although no official reason was revealed on what that family situation is.

It was previously reported via Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio that Austin Aries asked for his release from WWE and the company granted it. However that doesn’t appear to be the case.

In the latest installment of Wrestling Observer Radio, Melzter claimed that it was actually WWE’s idea to release Aries from his 3-year contract with the company. The word is that a lot of the writing staff didn’t like him and he appeared to be thrilled when he was handed his release because he wasn’t happy with his current position on the roster.

In regards to his future, Aries can still use his name outside of WWE because he used it prior to signing with the company. Aries is locked into a 90-day period where he is being paid by WWE and can work dates that WWE proves during that time.

Simon Gotch has been cleared to wrestle outside of WWE, as his 90-day non-compete clause after his release from WWE has come to an end.

Gotch signed with WWE back in 2013 and was part of the Vaudevillians act alongside Aiden English. Gotch was released by the WWE back in April of this year and has asserted his intentions of working for other promotions ever since his departure.
