Ryback is joined on today’s show by his co-host, Phoenix Marie.

Ryback talks about his relationship with Curtis Axel. He says that Axel is a great guy who he had a great time working with. He adds that tagging with Curtis Axel was the most fun he ever had in his wrestling career, even though he considered that to be his ‘punishment period’ in WWE.

After spending a long period of time in the main event picture, Ryback was teamed with Curtis Axel and they’d rarely even have an entrance when they were wrestling on television. He points out that not getting an entrance for your match is a terrible feeling and he asked McMahon if he was being punished but McMahon answered, “I don’t believe in punishment, pal”. In spite of this, Ryback still thinks he was being punished for something at that time.

Ryback mentions that a former professional wrestler who he knew from working on the independent scene unfortunately committed suicide recently. This wrestler was known for taking unnecessary risks and being reckless with his body in the ring, and in spite of everyone’s warnings, he continued to take those risks until one night he took a bad bump and broke his neck.

Lillian Garcia welcomes Paige to the show.

Paige informs that growing up in a wrestling family wasn’t a lot of fun for her. Wrestling wasn’t really cool back then and she was picked on quite frequently in high school. She didn’t have a lot of friends back then and she struggled in school because of this. She began travelling as a working wrestler at 14-years old and she felt like she was already grown up at that very young age.

Around this same time her mother disappeared for a period of time. Her mother works very hard and struggled with several issues, and one day it all just became too much for her. They eventually found her staying alone with their dog, and she was a completely different person from that day on. Paige admits that it took her a while to forgive her mom, but after finding herself in some sticky situations lately she began to understand how a person can just ‘shut off’ and run away.

Paige admits that she has a lot of trust issues, especially with men, and she hadn’t ever really fully committed to a relationship except for her last relationship with Alberto Del Rio. For this reason, the last few months after their separation have been very tough for her and she’s not quite ready to dive into another relationship at this point.

While appearing on Konnan’s podcast, former WWE Superstar Alberto El Patron confirmed reports that he had Paige have broken up.

El Patron claims the split was due to them living so far apart and not being able to see each other with their busy schedules. He also said “they” wouldn’t allow her to come to San Antonio, referring to WWE.

Patrom said the split happened weeks ago and their relationship had a lot of stress because they were always in-and-out of the media and they decided it was time to break up. This is why they never made an official announcement, according to El Patron. He also discussed how one of her friends uploaded a video of Paige mentioning being single to social media. It appears that Paige is finally done with Alberto El Patron after their long rocky relationship that has gone public on several occasions.

Paige’s friend Jenna posted a video on Snapchat Thursday night in which Paige joked about another couple making out and responded by saying, “this is why I’m single.”

Paige and El Patron were engaged to be married but this would pretty much confirm that the two have split. As of this writing, neither Paige or El Patron have commented publicly on the matter.

While participating in an interview for Facebook Live, Triple H talked about his relationship with The Rock and revealed that a match against The Rock has been discussed, but making their schedules work has been difficult.

“About two years ago, he and I did a backstage promo with each other where we talked about WrestleMania and the competitive nature of that and it lit the internet about the possibility of it. It’s something we’ve discussed. It’s just making schedules work. He’s pretty busy – me too – so it’s making schedules work. But look, right place, right time, I’ll dance one more time with ‘The Great One’, Rock.”

While speaking to Monster, Chris Jericho discussed his relationship with Vince McMahon and mentioned that it took years to develop what he has with his boss.

“The relationship I have with Vince now—and I think of us as friends—took years to develop. When you’re working with someone who’s at the top of their game, they are really complex, and it’s not possible to gain their trust and respect overnight. You can’t rush it.

“It helps to put yourself in the shoes of someone who’s been a boss for a long time. How many people have worked for him in the past, and how many have not worked out? He, or she, is looking for someone who will stand the test of time. So try to be that person.”

We reported  a while back that Rey Mysterio  was in talks with possibly joining Global Force Wrestling (now Impact Wrestling) and event at one point had a contract. The negotiations eventually went south between both parties and the deal was dead.

Konnan was asked about his involvement between GFW and Mysterio on a media call today and said that his goal is to try to mend the relationship so both sides can start to negotiate again.

“I was definitely very heavily involved in it because I represent him. We were talking, talks broke down, and we’re trying to repair those talks,” Konnan said. “Hopefully in the future Rey may come to GFW, but that was something that was definitely in the works.”

On the recent episode of Talk Is Jericho ‘Sheamus And Cesaro’, one-half of the WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Sheamus spoke about his relationship with Cesaro and how they got close after their team of Sheamus and Cesaro came together and how they found great mutual respect for each other:

“We had a lot of respect for each other. I don’t think we were super close or anything, but we’re both Europeans, kind of the same background, and we get here. From wrestling each other enough, we both definitely had a lot of respect. Do you know what I mean? I think there has always been a competition between us and that’s a great thing because you always want to try to one up each other.”

He also talked about how their characters evolved their relationship through time and the ‘odd couple’ kind of fighting their team did:

“It [has] definitely been an evolution from when we started, but even when we were tagging, there was that thing of like the odd couple kind of fighting each other and we wanted to push it. We didn’t get the opportunity to push it as much as we wanted because you have a segment and it’s taken away. Do you know what I mean? And so, like, people were enjoying it. Do you remember the boo/yay stuff? The boo/yay stuff was great!”
