While appearing on MLive, Kevin Owens talked about the reaction he receives from the crowd and mentioned that someday he hopes to have the same kind of response that John Cena and Roman Reigns receives.

“I just try to listen to strong reaction. To me the best reaction is a mix of both boos and cheers. John Cena and Roman Reigns get insane reactions where half the crowd loves them and half the crowd despises them. When you’re in the ring waiting for your opponent, whether it’s John or Roman, you get hit by this crazy noise. It’s people almost competing with each other. The guy who’s booing one of them is trying to be louder than the guy cheering. It makes for a special atmosphere. That’s really what I’m striving for.”

Triple H defeated Jinder Mahal when the company toured India last week. Triple H discussed his victory over Mahal with NBC Sports and indicated that he was more over in the country which is why he went over in the match.

“I often think it’s funny to me that people in America, who have never been to India, put their thoughts and their beliefs onto other people, ‘like clearly that’s the truth.’ (Laughs). It’s totally different there!” Triple H said. “The way they see things and react to things is very different. There are certain guys that once they reach a level there, it’s a whole different ballgame; Undertaker, [John] Cena. It’s just a different level of stardom.

“When we were over there a few months ago having business meetings, to hear the people who are running television studios or Internet companies say to me ‘I watched you when I was a teenager. You were like the biggest guy in the world.’ I met a massive Bollywood star the other day who told me that I was his entire childhood. He got suspended from school for telling someone to ‘suck it.’ At a time in ’96 when there were like three channels there, we were on one of them all of the time.

“It’s not to say Jinder wasn’t ‘over’ there. He was! You have to understand the market. It’s not like everyone just went, ‘Oh my God he’s Indian! He looks like us so we love him.’ They are a savvy market. They understand that he’s [playing] a bad guy [on television]. Even though he got a massive reaction, he still needs to earn their respect. He’s still growing and still new. You know what I mean?”

Triple H also mentioned that Mahal will emerge from the match a bigger star.

“Just even being on this tour will help him. The reaction he got at the beginning of the night was much different than the reaction he got at the end of the night. It just grew. Their appreciation of him grew. It was all handled in the right way and done in the right manner. Over time he’s going to grow and become a cultural icon for them.”

While taking part in a FaceBook Q&A, Kurt Angle mentioned that he doesn’t believe that The Undertaker is truly retired yet. Here are some highlights:

Reaction to learning he’d beat the Rock at No Mercy 2000: “It was a great feeling, but I wasn’t surprised. I knew it was coming. I think everybody saw it coming. The Rock was one of the best entertainers and he was exciting to work with. He also has a knack for having amazing matches, which ours was.”

Not really breaking Orton’s ankle with the Ankle Lock: “Well… I didn’t really break his ankle, but I knew Orton was special. Even in his beginning years. He had so much talent. I wish him and I could have locked horns later on in his prime. Well.. it can still happen.”

Favorite match he wasn’t involved in: “It’s not really “wrestling” but I was amazed at how well AJ vs Shane came out at Wrestlemania 33. To realize Shane only gets in that ring once in awhile and the pressure AJ has to endure for keeping the bar high, it literally amazes me. It was FUN to watch. And that’s why we watch wrestling. Because it’s fun.”

The Undertaker’s retirement: “My opinion? He’s not done yet, but that’s my opinion. And to wrestle Taker at Mania? That’s a dream come true. Everybody wants Taker at Mania.”

While speaking to Sporting News, former WWE Superstar & current GFW Knockout Gail Kim claimed that Vince McMahon did not like women’s wrestling when she was a part of WWE.

“My honest opinion, and this is only my opinion and I don’t know this as fact, I just think Vince McMahon did not like women’s wrestling,” said Kim. “With this whole revolution that happened in WWE these past couple of years, it’s because of the fans. Remember they were saying ‘Give Divas a Chance’ that it got to the point where Vince is like OK, I’m going to give them a chance. It was really truly Hunter (Triple H) who created all these great girls in NXT. It wasn’t Vince. It’s almost like, thank God Hunter did it so that Vince could see the reaction that these girls were getting in NXT. Then it was OK, let’s jump on the bandwagon and let’s make it happen. I think he was never a fan of women’s wrestling whether he had talented girls or not and he didn’t want to watch that.”

Kim continued to discussed how female talents within WWE were treated by saying they never got much of a shot on television.

“When I was there, they really didn’t want us to do things. Even to do a superplex off the top rope, you had to keep it quiet until it happened and hopefully get approval from the agent. He would say do it and I’ll take the heat for it. It was just insane to me. To me, I always just feel like why would you hire a talent and not use them to the best of their ability? That’s the confusing part for me and that was the most frustrating part for me. But I just chalked it up to I was in that company at the wrong time.”

While speaking to Fox Sports, John Cena was asked why he decided to propose to Nikki Bella at WrestleMania this year.

“It was a very public manner but the WWE is my home and I consider the WWE universe my family and that was a big, big moment in my life and I guess I just wanted to share it with my family.”

Cena was revealed that it was the most nervous he had ever been his entire life.

“That was the most nervous I have ever been in my entire life and not only was I worried about her response but I was worried about the reaction of the 75,000 people of the Camping World Stadium. I didn’t know that they would react in such a positive way, and I’m forever indebted to our fans for being able to allow me to celebrate the greatest moment of my life.”

Cena was also asked about if they have a wedding date in mind but didn’t reveal any details.

“Yes, they’re very ground floor right now but as it gets more and more refined it’s going to be more and more fun.”
