NJPW Power Struggle is right around the corner, and the show will live Sunday morning on NJPW World from Osaka’s Edion Arena Osaka. The show will have both English and Japanese commentary streams, and due to the time change in the US, everyone needs to make a note that it will begin at 3:00 am EST, 1:00 am PDT (don’t want anyone missing anything). Plus, the first match on the card is probably going to be the dark match, so you may want to tune in around 20 to 30 minutes early if you want to see Kitamura try to devour Finlay.

In the show’s main event, Hiroshi Tanahashi will defend his IWGP Intercontinental Championship against Kota Ibushi. Also on tomorow’s show, Kenny Omega will put his IWGP US Heavyweight Championship on the line against Trent Barreta, Will Ospreay and Marty Scurll will fight it out over the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship, and Toru Yano will try to avoid death and capture the NEVER Openweight Title when he faces Minoru Suzuki in a Bull Rope Death Match.

NJPW released the brackets for the upcoming Super Jr. Tag Team Tournament earlier today, and as expected, pretty much all of the usual suspects are participating (except The Young Bucks). The tournament will be held during the Road To Power Struggle shows, and the finals will be held at Power Struggle on November 5th in Osaka.

This year’s teams are:

As for NJPW Power Struggle itself, NJPW announced the top matches for the show earlier today. In the main event, Hiroshi Tanahashi will face off with Kota Ibushi for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship. Marty Scurll will challenge Will Ospreay for his newly won IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship. And, Minoru Suzuki will defend his NEVER Openweight Title against Toru Yano.

As saw during yesterday’s King Of Pro Wrestling, all of these matches were nicely set up, especially the Junior Heavyweight Title defense and the NEVER Title match. Yano, our favorite Sublime Master Thief, took off with MiSu’s championship after stealing a victory for CHAOS, so I’m sure that MiSu will be looking for revenge.
