Randy Orton had an exchange with Kevin Owens on Twitter, which resulted in the two trading insults with each other. After Orton took a shot at Owens for attending a “dessert party” over the weekend, Orton also decided to take a jab at Owens & Sami Zayn being sent home from the recent UK tour.

While speaking with News 18, Triple H provided an update on The Great Khali’s status with WWE and indicated that he could be used again in the future.

“Great Khali is a legend in the industry and he is always welcome to the WWE and we look forward to appearances by him in the future if that is something he wants to do. I know right now he is here in India and he is enjoying and kind of helping to train the next generation of superstars as well and being very successful at that. But you know, Great Khali is always going to be a legendary figure to the WWE and that means he is welcome at any time he wants to.”

Great Khali has been off WWE television since his interference in the WWE Championship match between Randy Orton and Jinder Mahal at WWE Battleground back on July 23rd. His appearance was originally planned for a one-and-done.

Taz points out that it’s strange that WWE moved the return of the Fashion Files from last week’s Smackdown live to this Sunday’s Hell in A Cell PPV. He assumes this will probably be on the pre-show given how limited time can be on a major PPV like this, but nonetheless he’s looking forward to it.

He has heard rumours that the upcoming Fashion Files may have a ‘Pulp Fiction’ theme, and when he heard that he immediately thought of Paul Heyman. He wonders if Heyman might be involved in this creative in some way. Either way he’s intrigued to watch it because he likes both guys, and it’s great anytime wrestlers can make money without taking bumps.

Taz says he’s not a fan of Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable being together right now but he likes them both as individual performers. He doubts that Benjamin is happy about making his return to the company only to be paired in a tag team and wrestling on a pre-show.

Taz says he likes the chemistry between Randy Orton and Rusev. He loves the Rusev character and he jokes that he’ll be celebrating Rusev Day for many years to come. Regardless, he predicts that Orton will win here, but he would prefer to see Rusev win because he needs it more. Taz would still rather see Rusev and Lana together, but he thinks WWE split them up as a rib.

Rusev reportedly lost to Randy Orton at Sunday’s SummerSlam event in seconds because it was WWE’s way of starting a program between the two.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the idea behind it is that it was a “fluke loss” for Rusev and it will play a factor into their storyline. There is also the belief that Orton needed a pay-per-view win after his poor run of PPV matches with Bray Wyatt & Jinder Mahal. The loss was not to punish Rusev but a major pro-Orton decision.

After his victory against Randy Orton at Sunday’s WWE Battleground event, WWE Champion Jinder Mahal spoke with Indian Express and teased a possible match against John Cena.

“I put the ‘vipers’ legacy to rest. I beat a fourteen time World Champion three times in a row. Whose legacy am I going to put to rest – maybe John Cena. He has a legacy of his own, I would like love nothing more than to use his legacy as a stepping stone and cement my own legacy.”

It’s been rumored for a while now that they may actually compete against each other over of the WWE Championship at this year’s SummerSlam. It should be known what direction they are going with the WWE Championship title at SummerSlam after this week’s SmackDown Live episode.

While appearing on Hot 104.1 last week in his hometown of St. Louis, Randy Orton explained why he made his tweets about “dives” on Twitter that got everyone talking. Here is a transcript of what was said:

“I’m putting over AJ [Styles] strong, right? AJ, he has dives. A lot of guys that I work with do dives. I’ve been dived on a lot. I don’t have a problem with dives out of the ring, but when a lot of these guys, who don’t have anything to fall back on, and they’re not making any money doing it, they’re going around town wrestling on these independent shows — which is awesome, by the way. A lot of our guys, like AJ, Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins wouldn’t be here without the indie scene. But they’re smart. A lot of these guys are going to go out there and they’re going to break their neck at 23 years old, doing stuff they shouldn’t be doing.

“It’s a display of athleticism, no doubt, but … I’m not going to watch gymnastics. I want to go watch a story, a fight between a good guy and a bad guy. How many flips they do each, I’m not keeping a tally … But do you know who had my back on it? Guys like AJ. Guys that do dives and know what they’re doing … Kurt Angle texted me after that. He didn’t do dives. If he did, he would put it where it should have went … he wouldn’t have done it just to do it …

“If that’s where our business is going, to where it’s just a preconceived, choreographed match with a bunch of acrobatics — back flips, front flips, gainers off the top rope, shooting star presses, moonsaults to the floor — then I don’t want to be a part of it. But I’ll tell you what: I don’t think that’s where it’s going.”
