Here are some backstage notes and spoilers from tonight’s Impact Wrestling tapings in Orlando, Florida at Universal Studios:

* Lucha Undergrounds’ Brian Cage is backstage at tonight’s tapings and will be debuting this week. He was also at last night’s tapings but not used.

* Anthem has attempted to bring in Pat Kennedy in as a producer for this week’s tapings but he was too busy with his real estate business.

* It was speculated that Moose had suffered an injury at Wednesday night tapings. The belief is that all signs are positive for his knee.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Ronda Rousey has been training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.

It now appears that WWE is working towards the Horsewoman vs. Horsewoman match for WrestleMania 34, giving her, Marina Sharif and Jessamyn Duke several months to train and get ready. This match was originally set to take place at Survivor Series but it was put off because her first match will be the one that garners the most publicity, and they felt it should be on the biggest show of the year.

If the match goes well, there is an increased change that Rousey will compete in a singles’ match sometime down the line.

During Thursday’s WWE NXT Live Event in Orlando, a new faction formed on the yellow brand that includes Buddy Murphy, Marcel Barthel (Alex Dieter Jr), Christopher (Donovan) Dijak and Fabian Aichner.

The faction came together when Aichner, Dijak and Barthel approached Murphy in the ring and asked him to join them. He accepted the offer. Murphy, Dijak and Aichner went on to face SAnitY in a losing effort while Barthel stood at ringside.

According to correspondents at the vent, Barthel appears to be the leader of the new group.

As previously noted, there are several posts on social media mentioning that The Undertaker and his wife Michelle McCool were spotted in-route to New York City, which is the site this weekend’s SummerSlam event.

According to PWInsider, there is the possibility that The Undertaker could be making an appearance at SummerSlam, however it’s also possible he’s just there to watch the events this weekend or to visit with friends.

The Undertaker has not appeared on WWE television since suffering his loss to Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, FL. At last word, The Undertaker had retired from professional Wrestling.

Jim Cornette revealed on his podcast that he is not signed to a deal with Global Force Wrestling despite returning to the company at Thursday night’s Impact tapings in Orlando, FL.

Cornette said that he was recently contacted by Anthem and was working directly for them. He’s not a member of the official roster and has not signed anything with Global Force Wrestling aside from the clearances to allow his likeness to be used on television.

Cornette also mentioned that he’s not interested in working for the company or any company on a full-time bases. Cornette says he will appear on TV “when there is a reason for him to appear.”

Adam Cole has signed with WWE for the NXT brand and is slated to begin at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida this week, according to PWInsider.

Cole has been rumored for months now that he would be coming to the company. Cole had previously held the ROH Championship three times as well as the promotion’s TV title, the CZW Junior Heavyweight championship and the PWG championship, among other championships.

In regards to his debut, it’s being speculated that he may debut this weekend at the NXT Takeover: Brooklyn event.

Paige and Alberto El Patron plan to “set the record” straight on tomorrow’s SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio.

While it’s not been officially announced exactly what they intend to discuss, one could speculate that they will probably be addressing the stories surrounding the recent domestic violence incident at the Orlando airport or El Patron’s Global Force Wrestling suspension.

Several non-reliable websites reported yesterday that Orlando PD issued an arrest warrant over the Orlando airport incident that involved Paige and Alberto El Patron. The report claimed that the District Attorney was moving forward with the charges and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

Paige addressed these false reports on Twitter with the following remarks:

Whiles speaking to The Shore, Kevin Owens talked about several topics and also mentioned that doesn’t enjoy working with AJ Styles at all, especially after he took his title.

“Yeah, I don’t enjoy it at all actually. I’d rather never having to work with him again. He has my title, and I have to go after and it looks like we’re nowhere near done. Unfortunately, I have to step in the ring with him several more times. It’s part of what we do.”

Owens also revealed that he feels Sami Zayn would be the perfect opponent for him if he ever main evented WrestleMania.

“I feel like Sami Zayn. It would be such a great chapter to add to our story. We’ve been at each other’s throats and by each other’s sides simultaneously the last 15 years. It would be great to do something with him.

“And also Finn Balor, who is my best friend. We got to the WWE the exact same time and didn’t know each other before hand. We had a bit of contact here and there before because we knew we both would spend time there. We bonded over that. Once we got to Orlando we’ve became very close quickly and getting to main event with him would be incredible. It would be another incredible chapter to our story. We both kind of dove in to uncharted territories, him from Japan and me from other places. We both did well for ourselves. To get to achieve that was very special.”

Paige issued the following statement on Twitter regarding the incident at the Orlando airport. In the statement she claims that Alberto El Patron never hit her and she’s never hit him, however admits that she has charges against her for throwing a drink on El Patron.

“Alberto didn’t want me to say full story because he didn’t want people to know and I didn’t want people to know that I threw a drink on him. But the full story is. I had a phone call saying my uncle is in a bad way. I’m crying outside the restaurant. I go in, alberto is hugging me. I’m a little sensitive and we start bickering about something so small. I say I’m leaving and he says something that I won’t write on here but it wasn’t nice and I, even though I shouldn’t have done it. I threw a drink in his face because I was so angry. Again. Shouldn’t have done it. It was in front of a lot of people. I walk out. He follows me a few seconds later and gets the cops and security and a crazy lady decides to leave whatever she’s doing to follow us and invade our privacy in the completely low way. Only low life people would do.

Anyways. It was ME who was being held for battery charges because I threw a drink on him. No. he never touched me and no I never hit him with a glass 3 times like the internet in all their glory is making out. Its completely ridiculous how one story can spiral out of control. Oh and guess what internet. He smelt like beer BECAUSE I THREW A BEER ON HIM. Nothing more. Nothing less. No one got arrested. There’s no mug shots. There’s no charges. Nothing. The horrible, disgusting human being of lady decided she wanted to make money out of our misfortune. I wish, WISH people would give us the privacy we deserve. I know we won’t get it. But I WISH that would happen.

And if you listen to that stupid audio. You will hear him saying he’s pressing charges on ME. We all say stuff when we are mad.

That’s all I will say about the airport situation. Again. Thanks for the privacy at this time.”
