It was reported via Dave Meltzer in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Seth Rollins is currently dealing with a back issue. Seth Rollins has taken to Twitter to deny Meltzer’s claims.

Rollins wrote, “Guys, my back is fine. Has been fine. #fakenews”

Bayley, who was once pinned to be one of the top WWE Superstars in the women’s division, was featured on WWE Main Event this week where she defeated Sonya Deville in the opening match. To many, WWE Main Event is seen as secondary programming but Bayley doesn’t seem to think so.

Bayley decided to address the grief she has received from haters on social media about her appearance on the show and tried to set the record straight in a positive manner.

She wrote, “Guys…let’s get this straight…it’s a GOOD thing I was on #MainEvent. I’ll take any chance I can get to step inside the ring. Especially in a singles match and especially when it ends with a victory ”

WWE heads to the Center Stage in Atlanta, Ga to tape the February 7th to the February 21st episodes of NXT television. Here are the spoiler results:

* Dark match: Street Profits defeated Aichner and Mendoza.

February 7th

* Show opens with Sanity vs. Undisputed. Never gets started. Sanity attacks from the crowd. Massive brawl. Regal comes out and announces Sanity vs. Undisputed in a tornado tag match for the main event.

* Heavy Machinery defeated Tino & Riddick. After the match, Riddick refused to shake Tino’s hand. IIt appears that the team has split.

* Johnny Gargano comes out. Johnny calls out Ciampa, gets Andrade instead. They setup Gargano vs. Almas for the NXT Title. If Gargano loses, he’s out of NXT. Our correspondent said that no mention of Takeover, so it’s possible this match takes place at these set of tapings.

* Bianca defeated Enhancement talent in a quick match.

* Tornado Tag match: Sanity defeats The Undisputed.

Dave Meltzer reported on today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE is building for a showdown between Aleister & Almas for the NXT Championship at the next over Takeover event during WrestleMania 34 weekend.

Speaking of the next Takeover event, Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly are expected to defend the NXT Tag Team Championship titles against Sanity.

As seen at Saturday’s NXT Takeover: Philadelphia event, WWE introduced War Machine, Ricochet, and EC3 on the big screen in between matches. It was previously reported that War Machine would be receiving new names once they arrived to the company and we can confirm that is still the plan.

Dave Meltzer reported on today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Radio that the company decided to introduce them as “War Machine” at Takevoer so that they could get a reaction from the fans in attendance. The belief is no one would really know them by their original names. The plan is still to repackage them with a new name once they make their in-ring debuts on weekly NXT television.

Regarding EC3, Meltzer said that he could see them keeping that name because it’s well established but WWE may still decide on changing it. Meltzer also indicated that Ricochet will definitely be receiving a new name once he debuts.

It was reported last week that Kevin Owens has been battling a back injury for the past few weeks and the injury was described as one that “comes and goes” but isn’t serious enough to take time off to get it fixed.

WWE did an angle on SmackDown Live this week with Owens’ left leg and it will likely figure into the story of his match at The Royal Rumble this Sunday. The belief is that Owens will only be involved in the match on a limited basis due to his back but the commentary team will explain that it is his leg that is affecting his performance.

As previously reported, WWE issued a statement to The Associate Press and indicated that they have no plans to bring back Hulk Hogan to the company anytime soon

“At this time, WWE remains committed to its decision,” WWE said in the statement.

Dave Meltzer discussed the statement released by WWE on today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Radio and indicated that the reason Hogan isn’t being brought back has to do with the sponsorship with WWE. The feeling right now is that advertisers aren’t ready to look past Hogan’s racist remarks he made in the leaked audio from his sex tape. Basically, not enough time has passed and WWE isn’t willing to take the risk.
