Seth Rollins has taken to Twitter to deny Meltzer’s claims.

It was rumored this past weekend that EC3 could be headed to WWE now that he’s no longer obligated to Impact Wrestling. Dave Meltzer confirmed these rumors in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter and he is in fact headed to WWE.

In regards to the EC3 name, he owns the rights to it and Impact has made it clear that they will allow talents to use their gimmicks in other promotions. As of this writing, there is no indication if WWE is interested in using the gimmick when they do decide to bring him in. We will keep you updated if we receive any new details on EC3’s status with WWE.

Meltzer didn’t elaborate when he could debut for WWE but many are speculating it could be sometime around The Royal Rumble as he recently canceled an indie booking on the exact same date as The Rumble.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest installment of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Bill Goldberg was in talks with New Japan. While very few details were provided, the idea was to bring Bill in for their big shows.

With Goldberg going into the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame class, it seems very unlikely now that New Japan Pro Wrestling is an option at this time.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the reason WWE booked Dolph Ziggler to vacate the United States Championship title and seemingly “walk out” on the company’s is the latest attempt to re-boot his character again.

This attempt comes weeks after another failed attempt when he was wrote off television for a while to try to repackage him.

While Dave Meltzer mentioned in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Ronda Rousey is a “lock” for WrestleMania next year and hinted that she could possibly appear at The Royal Rumble, other media outlets are saying otherwise.

Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that Ronda Rousey has been filming for a movie that features Mark Whalberg called “Mile 22,” which began filming last month in Atlanta. Filming is set to resume for an extended period of time in Colombia after the holiday season is over. The exact date for when filming will conclude is unknown at this time, however a source indicated that it could be after the January 28th Royal Rumble event. This would mean that Rousey probably won’t be making an appearance for WWE next month.

It’s also being said that WWE and Rousey has not yet reached an actual deal and it’s very unlikely she’ll make an appearance at The Rumble before is signed. Ronda’s status can always change between now and the end of next month. We will keep you updated if it does.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Ronda Rousey is virtually a “lock” to be at WrestleMania 34 next year and possibly even the Royal Rumble if she’s ready.

It was previoiusly reported that Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir are no longer training for a career in professional wrestling, so the Four Horsewomen vs. Four Horsewoman storyline is nixed. If Rousey was to step into the ring and wrestle, much of how she is booked will depend on if she signed a one-and-done deal with WWE or if she signs on something more long-term. Opponents discussed for her are Charlotte Flair or Asuka.

There is a good chance Eddie Edwards could be heading to WWE next year.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his contract with Impact Wrestling runs up in February and there is a chance he could be leaving the company.

WWE apparently has interest in signing him to a deal for him to work the NXT brand. The company passed on him years ago but that was when they had a negative mentality toward ROH talent.

Meltzer also mentioned that Ring of Honor is interested in signing him as well.

It was reported earlier in the week that WWE decided to shorten Luke Harper & “Erick Rowan’s names to simply “Harper” & “Rowan” moving forward.

According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Vince McMahon decided on this change because he believes that by going with just their last names, the team as heels comes across as being more “dominant.”

WWE has been keeping NXT Superstar Lio Rush out of action ever since he joked about Emma’s departure from the company on Twitter. WWE has not had Lio perform since the same weekend he sent out the tweet.

For those who missed it, Rush wrote: “I guess these are the things that happen when you’re not TRULY ready for @WWEAsuka”

This tweet didn’t go over very well with many of the talents within the company. Dave Meltzer noted in The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that there was talk at one point of firing him over the incident. It’s being said that he’s going to have to put in serious work to get the heat off him moving forward.
