The chances of Rey Mysterio returning to WWE are not looking good.

It was rumored a few weeks back that Mysterio was reportedly in negotiations with WWE and Global Force Wrestling about working under either promotion. However, Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated claims that Vince McMahon is not interested in working with Mysterio’s representation, Konnan.

“After initially showing interest, WWE passed on the legendary luchador as Vince McMahon was not interested in working with Mysterio’s representation, specifically Konnan,” wrote Barrasso.

Mysterio has already received an offer from Global Force Wrestling and that might be where he shows up next after his contract with Lucha Underground runs out at the end of this year. We will keep you updated.

During a Q&A session on his Facebook account, Kurt angle was asked which mid-card WWE Superstar he thinks can be a main eventer in WWE. Angle said that Neville could be a top star and compared him to former WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio.

“I really like Neville. He has the ability to cross over from the 205 division to the HWT division. He’s so talented as a wrestler, and his character is strong. He can speak very well, and his style will mesh well with the heavyweights. Almost like Rey Mysterio was able to mesh with the big boys. Neville is very talented.”
