Anthem Sports is once again referring to their wrestling company as Impact Wrestling and not Global Force Wrestling. PWInsider reports that they have reached out for comment regarding the change but have not received any response back.

It was noted last week that when Jeff Jarrett and Impact Wrestling merged to become Global Force wrestling, the two sides did not completely work out all the final details. It’s looking like Anthem will move away from using the GFW name now that Jarrett is on a leave of absence.

Global Force Wrestling’s weekly Impact Wrestling show will not be moving off of Pop TV.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest installment of Wrestling Observer Radio that GFW and POP TV have come to terms on a new deal through 2018.

Speaking of Impact, the company remains on a very tight budget so it is very unlikely that their taping schedule will change next year. That means they will continue to tape shows way in advanced. There most recent taping, they taped 12 episodes of Impact.

Even though there are reports of Baron Corbin being in the doghouse, that won’t stop the company from featuring him in a prominent role on WWE television.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has plans to have Corbin work a program with AJ Styles over the United States Championship. This is part of the reason why he was featured as the special guest referee on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live. While Styles feuds with Corbin, Kevin Owens is slowly moving into his storyline with Shane McMahon, which should lead to Team Owens vs. Team McMahon at Survivor Series.
