Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar Moved to SummerSlam?

There is speculation that the Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar match that was previously scheduled to take place at WrestleMania 34 could be taking place at SummerSlam this year instead.

This move is being taken to increase the presence of the Universal Title on weekly RAW shows in order to increase the poor TV ratings. The speculation holds a lot of relevance since Reigns announced that he was next in line to challenge Lesnar for the title on this week’s Monday Night RAW episode.

Additionally, Dave Meltzer mentioned in a recent installment of Wrestling Observer Radio that plans may have changed because Braun Strowman returned from injury much earlier than expected. With his early return, some planned matches have been switched around.

The Ross Report Recap w/ Adam Cole – Main Eventing in ROH, Thoughts on Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes Returning to WWE? More!

Ross opens today’s show by sending his best wishes to his friend Harley Race. Race suffered a fall in his home which resulted in multiple broken bones in both of his legs. Ross wishes Race a speedy recovery.

Ross really enjoyed the pull apart between Samoa Joe and Brock Lesnar on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. He points out that to his knowledge, Samoa Joe is the only Superstar to ever block Lesnar’s double leg takedown. He suspects that this will become a focal point of their match at Great Ball of Fire later this month.

He says that he has no problem admitting that he has been politicking to call this match, because it’s going to be a great bout in his opinion. He adds that if your profession is announcing professional wrestling matches, this is the type of match that you absolutely long for.

Ross welcomes Adam Cole to the show.

Ross mentions that Cole’s recent match against Christopher Daniels was a great piece of work. They took him on an emotional journey, and that’s the sign of a great match. Cole says that particular match holds a special place in his heart because he looked up to and respected Daniels for an awfully long time, so it was his pleasure to be able to tell that kind of story with Daniels.

WWE Monday Night Raw Results – 12 June 2017

Welcome to what promises to be an explosive episode of Monday Night Raw!

WWE.com has already confirmed that tonight’s show will open with Brock Lesnar, who will look to confront Samoa Joe! Last week Joe choked-out Paul Heyman and made this title match a lot more personal. Lesnar is liable to be fuming tonight and we could see a knock-down drag-out brawl between these two behemoths, although I think WWE should look to keep them apart.

Also on tonight’s show, The Hardy Boyz will get a Tag Team Championship rematch against Sheamus & Cesaro. Can Matt and Jeff win the titles back, or will Shesaro win by hook or crook? This could serve as the end of the feud tonight, or a simple roadblock on route to their next big encounter. It’s a little too soon to end this feud, especially when there’s no viable contender’s in the immediate background.

The Miz and Dean Ambrose are still embroiled in a feud over the Intercontinental Championship, although last week The Miz angered his wife Maryse. Ambrose is deep inside Miz’s head and I would expect that to continue here tonight. Elsewhere, Nia Jax got screwed out of a proper title match with Alexa Bliss last week and she will no doubt be on the hunt for revenge. And then we have Enzo and Cass, who are still getting attacked on a weekly basis. Are The Revival really the culprits? That seems far too obvious at this point, but we will hopefully find out tonight just who is behind the attacks.

That’s the preview for tonight’s show! What do you think is going to go down? Let us know in the comments and be sure to check out the awesome Ringside News app, enjoy the show!
