Lawler is joined on today’s show by his co-host Glenn Moore.

Moore points out that today is Lawler’s birthday. Lawler thanks him for the birthday greetings and informs that although he’s turning 68-years old he still feels great and will continue to wrestle as long as he can. He mentions that he’s beginning to feel some pain in his knees now when he climbs stairs, but he doesn’t really notice it when he’s wrestling.

He attributes that knee pain to leaping off of the second rope to drop an elbow in all of his matches and he never wore kneepads once, so he assumes that’s one thing that’s catching up to him now. Moore mentions that Lawler has never worked out a day in his life and eats whatever he pleases. Lawler confirms that and says that in a professional wrestling business filled with bodybuilders and people who’re watching what they eat, he must have just been lucky because he’s been able to have a 46-year career.

Lawler informs that he was at the WrestleCade event last weekend and he saw plenty of his old wrestling buddies there. During the autograph session in the afternoon Mick Foley was on his right and Honky Tonk Man was on his left. Honky Tonk Man is actually Lawler’s cousin and some people believe the two men have heat but Lawler says that’s not the case at all, they just rarely see each other.

Mick Foley Comments On Knee Replacement

As we reported yesterday, Mick Foley underwent successful knee replacement surgery. Foley took to Facebook to comment on the surgery and how he is feeling after his recent hip replacement.

WE CAN REBUILD HIM

Hey, if you ever have a chance to talk to #WWEHOF Madusa, and she tells you something, believe it! Madusa warned me that this knee replacement was going to be painful, and the rehab to follow even worse. So far, she is right on the money!

But I really needed the surgery. The hip replacement in April has helped tremendously, it was removed so much of the pain I was in the last eight or nine years. But without this knee operation, I was going to continue with that noticeable limp, in case you forgot what The Godfather once told us you limpin’…it ain’t easy! As it turns out, my right knee has not been able to straighten for probably 10 years or more. As a result, I’ve been placing far too much weight on my left foot, every day for 10 years – and over the course of that time, it has greatly affected our walk… i’m kind of leaving to a domino reactions were other body parts or stressed when compensating for the knee injury. So, although this surgery is a tough one, It was also a very necessary one.

Backstage News On Why Asuka Is Going To RAW

As we reported yesterday, WWE has announced that Asuka will be coming to RAW when when makes her main roster debut.

Apparently, there was a lot of back and forth on which brand The Empress Of Tomorrow would end up on, and the feeling was that the depth of the Women’s Division on RAW wasn’t as strong as that of SmackDown Live, so the decision was made to have Asuka on the flagship brand.

The current plan is for her to debut sometime in October when she is fully healed from a recent collarbone injury.

Mick Foley Getting A New Knee

Mick Foley took to Twitter this morning to announce that he will be undergoing hip replacement surgery today.

This is Foley’s second big surgery this year. Back in April, he had his hip replaced. Foley also announced on Twitter today that he will be at WrestleCon next year on April 6th and 7th, signing for TMart Promotions.

We wish The Hardcore Legend a full and speedy recovery from his surgery today.

The Young Bucks Stretched Thin At Death Before Dishonor

ROH’s upcoming Death Before Dishonor PPV is getting a bit more interesting each day. Not only will be they be defending their ROH 6-Man Tag Team Titles during the event with their partner Hangman Page against The Briscoes and Bully Ray, but ROH announced today that they will also be defending their ROH Tag Team Titles

Taz opens today’s show by sending his prayers and best wishes to Ric Flair and his family right now. Flair is in the hospital with some heart issues, but Taz is sure that Flair will battle through because he’s as tough as they come. He urges all his listeners to pray for Flair today.

A listener calls into the show and asks Taz for his opinion on the recent in-ring altercation between Mick Foley and Joey Ryan, where Foley took Ryan’s ‘dick flip’ spot. Taz says that he knows both of these men well, and he respects both of them. This spot is very innovative in Taz’s opinion but it’s not his style, and he probably wouldn’t take that spot if he was still wrestling today.

However, Foley was in a similar spot as Ryan 20 years ago when wrestling purists were criticizing Foley’s hardcore style. Taz is sure that Foley can relate to what Ryan is going through, and Foley’s priority has always been to put smiles on the faces of fans. Foley accomplished that last weekend by taking this spot.

Another listener calls into the show and asks Taz if he ever found out the identity of any WWE employees who were stooging off information to dirt sheets back in the day. Taz says that he never found any solid proof, but there were always certain names floating around backstage that were rumoured to be associated to the dirt sheets.

He says that some of the names would surprise fans, because a couple of these individuals went on to have very successful careers and are still with the company today. When talking to these individuals backstage, Taz was always sure to be very careful with what he was saying.

Raw general manager Mick Foley kicked off this week’s show to a sizable ovation, a prepared statement in his hand.

Foley thanked his superiors, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, for the opportunity they have given him. Continuing to read the statement, he admitted that he put that opportunity in jeopardy the moment he stuffed Mr. Socko in Triple H’s mouth.

To prevent any further issues, he decided to take a leave of absence from WWE.

The fans booed the decision harshly to the point that Foley tore up the cue cards he was reading from and tossed them aside. His pride would not allow him to stand there and demean himself.

This brought out McMahon, who proceeded to dress Foley down verbally before firing him on live television.

Perry Saturn took to Facebook and asked fans to donate to a GoFundMe page as he’s just “a week or two” from being homeless.

This is the same campaign set up three months ago and as of this writing, they have raised $14,906 of a $100,000 goal.

1) Almost constant headaches
2) Sensitivity to light
3) Brain fog – losing time, basically
4) Inability to drive or work
5) Dimentia

Perry is in a position to get good medical care, but he’s strapped financially. He can’t work and his wife Lisa is a full time caregiver, essentially. The Undertaker returned to Monday Night RAW tonight in New Orleans and announced that he would enter the 2017 Traditional 30-man Royal Rumble match.

WWE teased Taker’s ‘possible’ appearance for RAW tonight, and Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley were shown searching for ‘The Deadman’ throughout the night.

Taker showed up and said no one will control him or tell him where to go, then he addressed returning tonight to the place where his streak ended at Wrestlemania XXX. He said that he dug 29 holes for 29 bodies, and after he wins at the Rumble, he will return to the main event of Wrestlemania. There is a positive for RAW in the coming weeks as the football season is over but if they continue to go over the same lame storylines and monotonous matches focussing their shows only on four guys; Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho, it won’t be inaccurate to say that Monday night RAW will suffer again in terms of ratings. WWE has been trying their best to throw in some big names like Goldberg to attract audience, which sometimes brings them positive ratings but as far as consistency is concerned SD Live has delivered great in and out action all throughout the time since the draft happened. The crowd’s reaction on both the show were totally different this week considering the fact that both RAW and Smackdown Live were conducted in the same arena, the crowd looked lively and thunderous during SD Live and mostly dead on RAW. Many sources over the internet pre-claimed that SD will take over RAW in the last episode of 2016 as they had better bookings and storylines to build upon and considered 27 december as a special PPV and not just a weekly episode.

Last Monday, RAW went off the air with ‘The Freight Train’ Braun Strowman wreaking havoc inside and outside the squared circle. He interfered in the main event by attacking the babyfaces ‘The Big Dog’ Roman Reigns and ‘The Man’ Seth Rollins. Initially, Braun was demanding for Sami Zayn but his quest to get his hands of Sami made him do what we saw and maybe it’s the beginning of pushing ‘The Freight Train’ up to face ‘The Big Dog’ for the United States Championship, in the distant future. So, will Braun Strowman get his hands on Sami Zayn this week, and he should be on the lookout in my opinion, as Roman & Seth might be waiting on the sidelines ready to pounce on him for what he did to them last week? What would be RAW GM’s position regarding the decision of feeding Sami to Braun?

And in the Universal Championship picture we have a twist in the tale of Reigns-Kevin Owens saga, The Shark Cage. As we heard last week that ‘Mr Wrestling’ Kevin Owens will defend his title against ‘The Big Dog’ Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble with Chris Jericho being suspended high above the ring in a freaking Shark Cage for goodness sake. We also learned the fact that ‘The Ayatollah of Rock n Rolla’ is terrified of heights. So, this week we expect Jeri-KO to come up with some sort of trick or mechanism to tame Jericho’s fear of heights or else Owens will have to part ways with the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble PPV.

In the women’s division, we have two storylines taking shape:-

Firstly, we have ‘The Huggable Monster’ Bayley demanding to get a title match against Charlotte Flair as she pinned Charlotte last week and Bayley is 3-0 against ‘The Queen’. However, the champion managed to get her shoulder up from the mat during the last count. So, what will be the Raw GM Mick Foley’s decision on this development?

Meanwhile, ‘The Boss’ Sasha Banks will be looking to fend off her newest rival in town, Nia Jax.

Also, WWE.com posted a teaser indicating towards a tag team bout featuring ‘The Certified Gs’ Enzo and Big Cass on one side, facing ‘The Bulgarian Brute’ Rusev and Jinder Mahal. This is booked after what transpired last week in ‘Sensitivity Training’ segment on RAW.

We surely hope that it would be an eventful night, to say the least, in Chicago! The Last RAW of 2016 will surely leave a lasting impact on the minds of the fans across the globe alike!
