While speaking with Sports Illustrated, The Miz mentioned that he woud like to have a match against Daniel Bryan inside a WWE ring because he would like to beat him up.

“I would love to beat him up. I would love to beat him up in a WWE ring; all day; every day. I know he’s working tremendously hard to get back in the WWE ring…I would love to have a match with Daniel Bryan; he’s one of the best in-ring technicians that WWE has ever seen, and I would like to showcase how much better I am than him.”

It’s very unlikely that The Miz vs. Daniel Bryan would ever take place inside of a WWE ring, as many are under the impression that WWE doctors will not clear him. The on-going the concussions lawsuit isn’t doing Bryan any favors either. The belief is once Bryan’s contract with WWE runs out, he will return to the indies.

As previously noted, Sin Cara suffered an injury in a Triple Threat Match against Baron Corbin and Sami Zayn at the WWE Live Event in Madrid, Spain on Sunday.

Sin Cara confirmed these these reports and revealed that he suffered an injury to his knee. He wrote on Twitter, “Due to an injury in my knee I am not competing at #WWELisbon. Apologies to those who attended. I hope to see them again soon”.

While speaking to Mike Rome about his match against Braun Strowman on tonight’s episode of RAW, Seth Rollins downloaded the idea of The Shield returning.

“I guess it kinda is on everybody’s mind,” Rollins said. “The last three years, that’s the one question I’ve gotten. But the truth is, Roman’s doing his thing while Ambrose and I, we mended that fence, we’re doing our own thing. [We’re] RAW Tag Team Champions, but tonight, the focus has got to be on Braun Strowman.”

He continued, “I talked the talk last week, I called out Braun. So I’ve gotta go out there and walk the walk this week. That’s just the way it is, and that’s the way it’s gotta be. I gotta go out, me vs. Braun, that’s the focus tonight. I’m gonna burn it down.”

It looks like Shinsuke Nakamura may have a special entrance of sorts at this month’s WWE SummerSlam event.

WWE shared the video below on Instagram that features CFO$ and Lee England Jr, the violinist that has performed Nakamura’s theme song at previous events. It’s being speculated that he could perform again before Nakamura’s match against Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship.

PWInsider reports that Tyson Kidd was backstage at Tuesday’s SmackDown Live tapings in San Diego.

Kidd has not been backstage at a WWE event since suffering his neck injury in a match against Samoa Joe back in 2015. WWE removed Kidd from Total Divas before, however it’s been confirmed that he will be back on the next season.

Ruby Riot’s match against Asuka at the UK Download Festival had to be stopped when she was busted open after taking a bump into the steel stairs. Ruby confirmed the incident with a Facebook Live chat with Kayla Braxton and mentioned that she had to get 5 stitches afterwards.

Heading into Sunday’s WWE Backlash event, there was a huge shift in the betting odds for the WWE Championship match.

Randy Orton was originally the favorite to win his match against Jinder Mahal but is now a 7/4 underdog. As of this writing, Jinder is sitting at a 2/5 favorite to win the match on Sunday night.

With “smart money” bets still coming in, it’s still very possible for the odds to shift again before the event. Keep in mind, being the favorite doesn’t exactly mean Mahal is leaving the event as champion, as he could also win via DQ or count-out.
