Russo is joined on today’s show by “Starmaker” Kenny Bolin.

Bolin speaks about his rocky friendship with Jim Cornette. He informs that he’s been friends with Cornette for many years, but they’ve had their disagreements during that time as well. Just recently they had a huge fight which led to Bolin leaving Cornette’s podcast, and joining Russo here on The Brand. Luckily the two old friends were able to make up and thinks were looking fine again.

Just last week, Cornette called Bolin while he was recording a podcast with Russo and Bolin answered. This led to Cornette’s voice being heard on Russo’s podcast, and Bolin immediately felt bad about this given the history between Cornette and Russo. He called Cornette and told him what had happened; Cornette hung up on him and he hasn’t heard from him since.

Bolin says that sometimes Cornette acts like a 5-year old bipolar kid who refuses to take his medicine. He’s sick of Cornette bullying him emotionally because this type of thing has happened many times in the past. They’ve actually had physical disputes in the past as well and Bolin always came out on top in those, but Cornette’s emotional games have really taken a toll on him.

Russo points out that he, Cornette and Bolin are all in their mid to late 50s, and none of this childish crap should matter to any of them. Bolin agrees and says he’s done with Cornette because he refuses to be a part of this nonsense moving forward. He adds that Cornette should “…get some help because normal people don’t act like you.”

X-Pac opens today’s show by informing that he’s really looking forward to RAW’s 25th anniversary show at the end of the month. He’ll be returning to WWE for this show, but he jokes that he wasn’t happy about being left out of the announcements on RAW and Smackdown this week which named several of the returning legends.

He says he texted people at WWE to voice his displeasure about that, but he can understand WWE’s decision to leave his name out of these types of announcements. He knows that this is backlash for the way he lived his life for about 10 years. Luckily he’s in a much better place now and he’s thrilled to be invited back.

X-Pac welcomes WrestleZone’s Nick Hausman to the show.

Hausman recalls the night that X-Pac “tore his butthole”. Hausman was at the event that night and when the accident happened he leaned over to Hausman and told him what had happened. Hausman was in shock but the match continued. After the match X-Pac got 13 stitches in his butt and he didn’t miss one of his bookings, wrestling the following weekend wearing a diaper.

Hausman asks X-Pac if he thinks Cody and The Young Bucks can draw 10,000 fans to their “All In” event in 2018. X-Pac thinks they can definitely draw that many fans, especially if CM Punk is involved. The event is to be held in Chicago, and X-Pac thinks that Punk would definitely be interested in returning to the wrestling ring for this type of event.

Edge and Christian welcome Dolph Ziggler to the show.

Ziggler talks about receiving a Spinebuster from Arn Anderson at WWE’s recent Starrcade event. He says that he was told weeks in advance that he’d be working with Bobby Roode at that event, but he didn’t get his hopes up because he assumed those plans would change as the event drew nearer. Luckily, those plans stuck and he and Roode were given enough time to tear the house down.

He cut a promo with Ric Flair earlier in the night which was a really cool moment for him, but Arn Anderson’s involvement in their match made the night extremely memorable. Anderson was the special guest enforcer for the match and at the end of the bout he delivered a classic Spinebuster to Ziggler, which was a moment he’ll never forget.

He jokes that he’s a bitter old man at this point and there isn’t much within the wrestling business that gets him excited anymore, but that night was filled with one memorable moment after another. There was a special feeling in the air the entire day, with legends like The Rock N Roll Express, Ricky Steamboat and Ric Flair all walking around the backstage area prior to the event.
