Rejoice wrestling fans the world over, for tonight is the massive 25th anniversary of WWE Monday Night Raw and thank you for reading our coverage of said historic show.

It’s going to be almost impossible to list everything going on at tonight’s show but I will give a (fairly) quick rundown of what, and who, to expect. Seeing as this is the anniversary of Raw, WWE and Vince McMahon has pulled all the strings to bring back just about everyone you’ve ever cared about – obviously minus CM Punk, Hulk Hogan, and those who’ve sadly passed away. Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Trish Stratus, The Dudley Boyz, Kelly Kelly, Scott Hall, Chris Jericho, JBL, Torrie Wilson, Miss Jacqueline, and more, all with Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler on the commentary table. This alone, makes this the most exciting Monday Night Raw since the historic episode 2000. Not to mention, this roster of legends makes the three-hour runtime of Raw seem almost too short!

Alas, maybe as much as we would like it to be, tonight’s Raw is not just about the legends. Tonight’s show will feature all of the regular Superstar’s, both from Raw and SmackDown Live. That’s right, Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan will be bringing their WWE Champion AJ Styles, Women’s Champion Charlotte, Tag Champions The Uso’s, as well as The New Day, Natalya and John Cena. So tonight’s show really is as jam-packed full of names and faces as a show could possible be. I really don’t envy the booking team for tonight’s show.

Brock Lesnar will also be on tonight’s Raw, as he responds to Braun Strowman’s insane attack on him two weeks ago. This is Lesnar’s last chance to make a statement against the Monster Among Men, but let’s not forget that Kane will be here to also cause some havoc! Tonight’s show will also feature WWE Intercontinental Champion, Roman Reigns, defend his strap against The Miz. Reigns looks to knock-off Miz one last time and head on to the Royal Rumble, whereas The Miz looks to win the IC title for the eighth time!

As seen on Monday’s episode of RAW, Braun Strowman attacked Kane & Brock Lesnar backstage and used a grappling hook and pulled down a lighting truss onto his Royal Rumble opponents.

WWE issued the following “storyline” update on Kane and Lesnar:

“After Braun Strowman used a grappling hook to tear down a lighting truss and send it crashing down on Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and Kane, WWE.com can confirm that Lesnar is undergoing examination by WWE medical personnel. Kane, meanwhile, refused medical attention. It is unknown how this incident will affect the Universal Championship Triple Threat Match at Royal Rumble involving all three Superstars”

Welcome to our coverage for Monday Night Raw for December 18.

Brock Lesnar returns to Monday Night Raw for the first time in a while. He returns to address the fact that he does not have an opponent for Royal Rumble 2018. Braun Strowman and Kane were supposed to settle their differences last week but things ended in a no contest again. Now Lesnar will address the two in what is likely to become a Triple Threat match at Royal Rumble.

Cedric Alexander and Drew Gulak will battle tonight to determine the new number one contender to Enzo Amore’s Cruiserweight Championship. This comes a week after Alexander earned the right to compete, following Rich Swann’s suspension. Enzo has been ridiculing Gulak for weeks, which leads me to believe Gulak will win and perhaps take a face turn prior to Royal Rumble.

Elsewhere on tonight’s show, Roman Reigns is in need of a new challenger for his Intercontinenal Championship, Absolution has been put on notice by the entire women’s division, and Matt Hardy continues his woken excellence. Remember to download the Ringside Talk app and enjoy the show!

The winner of the Kane vs. Braun Strowman match on tonight’s RAW will challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship at next month’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view event.

It looks like Brock Lesnar may not be appearing at February’s RAW-brand Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. The website for the T-Mobile Arena lists multiple stars from RAW but not Universal Champion Brock Lesnar.

“Fans will have the opportunity to see WWE Raw Superstars battle inside 10 tons of unforgiving steel. Head to the Las Vegas Strip to see Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Samoa Joe, The Miz and many more fan favorite WWE Superstars.”

With the pay-per-view event been several months away, he could still be added to the event. However, it seems very odd that he wouldn’t be listed, as his name would help push ticket sales.

Finn Balor responded to Roman Reigns’ challenge on Twitter and promised to “step over” the Intercontinental Champion.

After Reigns challenged the RAW roster to “step up” against him, Balor replied with another reference to reports that Vince McMahon doesn’t believe he’s over enough as a suitable opponent for Brock Lesnar. You can check out the exchange below:

According to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Finn Balor was never factored into any plans to face Brock Lesnar at next year’s Royal Rumble event.

Barrasso also reported that Balor is slowly being transitioned into a role similar to Dolph Zigglers, where he is a performer who can put on great matches but doesn’t get to the main event because of the lack of faith from higher-ups. One WWE source relayed to Barrasso that Vince McMahon sees Balor as “bland” whenever he’s not portraying the “Demon King” character.

As previously reported, Dave Meltzer claimed on Wrestling Observer Radio that the reason WWE nixed the plans for Finn Balor vs Brock Lesnar at next year’s Royal Rumble event was because Vince McMahon doesn’t believe Balor is over enough.

Balor made reference to Meltzer’s claims on Twitter with the following tweet:

It was being speculated Sunday night by various websites that Brock Lesnar may have been injured in his Survivor Series match against AJ Styles, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.

Many fans in attendance noticed Lesnar limping to the back after the Champion vs. Champion match and figured that he was hurt. We can confirm that he’s not hurt and was only selling the match. Lesnar appeared fine backstage after the match.

Lesnar isn’t expected to return to television at all for the rest of the year . Lesnar’s next match will be at The Royal Rumble event, however Vince McMahon nixed the plans for the match against Balor that they were previously building. It remains to be seen who his next challenger will be.
